decent crimping tool and plenty of connectors. they give you lots of extra crimps for when you mess up, which will happen a good bit

My first crimping set and might be my last the crimper itself does take a little bit of learning with trial and error on how to get perfect crimps but once you've got it down forget ever worrying about broken wires or connectors in your life forever. I feel like a stage 12 electrician walking around the house splicing soldering crimping repairing all wires I can find.
