These double-sided sticky pads are intermediate in thickness between tape and nano-type thicker material. They appear to be a similar material to acrylic nano tape. The thickness is .78mm, which should be sufficient to accommodate a few imperfections and unevenness in a surface to give maximum contact.They are very sticky, and should work fine on most tasks, but I had a more demanding test in mind.I had put up roller blinds in plastic door and window frames, and, wanting to avoid making holes, I tried a variety of sticky pads to attach the brackets to the uPVC. This worked in some cases, and for a time in others, but eventually the bracket on the operating side would detach itself (face-fixed brackets on vertical reveals were fine).The first attempt with these thinner pads failed, so I decided to leave the bracket for 24 hours before fitting the blind, to allow the adhesive to bond. I roughened the surface of the nylon bracket to give it the best chance, but the performance of these pads was inferior both to nano and foam types. I realise it's a lot to ask with a small contact area, but I didn't expect the thinner tape to give up so quickly.These should be effective for undemanding jobs, but the strength of adhesion, at least to some plastics, is limited.
