Beginning Ground Work: Everything We've Learned About Relationship and Leadership

This little book is an excellent introduction to beginning a real relationship with your horse. Having a partnership with your horse rather than a master/slave relationship is so much more rewarding and this little book by Joe Camp is well worth reading. I also recommend his other books. He is an easy read and he has a lot of good to share, worth reading.

I loved it so much I purchased the entire book, Soul of A Horse. I liked the nugget version better! The condensed book/nugget had the BEST part of the book in it. Very well written, informative and entertaining at the same time. I would and have recommended it to everyone; you don't have to be a horse lover to get the valuable insight about life and relationships that this book offers.

Great resource book. I like the writers style and presentation. Obviously there was a lot of homework involved. Very short.

Easy to read, very entertaining. And lots of good advice. Unlike following his "adventures" into becoming a horse person!

A nice read, but not enough actual guidance and direction for real understanding of how to know more about handling horses safely.

This is not a guide for groundwork. It is a story about a guy who watched some Clinton Anderson DVDs and read a Parelli book, and he tells you about them and adds a few quotes from other famous people, then adds a chapter from his previous book at the end. Don't buy this if you are looking for an actual groundwork program.

I felt like Joe touched my heart with his stories. He definitely speaks the spirit I feel when I am around a horse.

Gaining control help both you and your horse become more comfortable with each other. Joe Camp seems to explain the hard stuff in a way that anyone should be able to Join Up with their horse if they are wanting the best for the horse and not just wanting to be the hot shot trainer!

I read this book from front to back and in between twice we had a problem rescue pony and this book helped tremendously. I now act like a horse around all horses and they respect me for it. I have helped countless horses with rust issues since reading this book. Would highly recoomend

In diesem Buch beschreibt Joe Camp wie er einen partnerschaftlichen Weg zu seinen Pferden gefunden hat. Wie er an sich selbst und der Partnerschaft zweifelt und erkennt, dass es nicht darum geht mit dem Seil oder Stick zu wackeln sondern darum, an sich selbst zu wachsen um als vertrauenswürdiger Freund anerkannt zu werden.

The only reason I list this as okay is because it has some of the same content as "Soul of the Horse", which I highly recommend. It is a quick read.
