How big are they when they arrive? I need to know if they will fit in a cupcake box…

Yes they will. I put them in Christmas crackers. The kids loved them.

Is there 12 separate snakes or is it 1 snake made up of 12 cubes?

Hello, there are 12pcs magic snake cubes in the set.

Is this good for teens?

Really depends on your teens, if they like a challenge, if they do puzzles, yes they will like them,. We have used them with young children and adults, really good fun if you do timed challenges to see who can make the shape first.

Are they quiet or do they click and crack?

They clicked a little bit, but nothing too excessive
