These are a great little pair of headphones. I've bought them 4 times. I've HAD to buy them 4 times. I got them for gym/walking; the theory being that if they slip out, I wouldn't lose them like I feel I'd lose earbuds. For this they work great, I even use them at home to listen to youtube and game too now. The design -- a necklace with earbuds hanging off it -- is a neat little trick. Out of the 3 I've had to replace, 2 of them had the left earbud start to fail, getting noticeably quieter than the right. I suspect I instinctively pull to the left when separating them from each other (they're magnetic), which puts stress on the left bud, which weakens the wire or connection eventually. This is probably my fault, not Anker's, I'm sure in the manual it says not to do that. The other 1 time I've replace it was the power button just not working. That was soon enough after buying that I got a swap from Amazon. Anyway they're comfortable, the audio is good, if they fall they don't go anywhere. The microphone is fine, no complaints with my calls on it. Bluetooth connectivity is good, it reaches throughout the house. It charges very quickly (~1 hour is usually enough) and it lasts more or less a day's worth of sitting and working while listening to tunes. For $20 they're a no brainer, the second I noticed the left ear was getting quiet I ordered another one immediately. I probably should order a spare, too.

So to start, I read the "Customers say" thing. Trust me, these last a lot longer than 3 months. I bought my pair of Soundcore over the neck bluetooth earbuds in January 2026. It is now almost the end of July, so I've had them for about 6 months and 2 weeks. They *still* work perfectly, battery life on these is just amazing and the sound quality is great. I listen to mostly news and sometimes music, so they do the job very well.

I prefer to wear neckbands as I'm paranoid about losing earbuds. I do a lot of running around at work and a neckband allows me to put the earbuds in/out and then let it drop when I need to answer the phone. Anker used to make corded earbuds and was sad that they discontinued them. This came up when my other set died and I was thrilled. Their customer service is great, the sound quality is wonderful and the best thing is I don't need to charge this every night! It holds a charge for two of my shifts, plus whatever chores I do around the house. The only drawback is that the wires are a bit longer than I'm used to, but I think that may be a learning curve.

I liked the sound of the Anker Soundcore Life U2 better. They lasted 3.5 years of near-daily use, in the gym, doing yardwork (in Florida heat/humidity) and riding motorcycle. The U2i also appears to be very well made. I prefer the shape of the U2i earbuds that no longer have an unnecessary rubber flange/stopper to prevent over-insertion. The wires on the U2i come out of the bottom of the neckband, which is different than the U2 which came out the sides. The U2i wires hang down much lower. The magnets holding the earbuds together when not inserted are also stronger and more reliable. Again, my only criticism is on the tone, which is a more subdued upper-mid and treble. Not muddy, but less transparent than the predecessor. All the bass you'll ever need.

These are durable, good sound quality andbhave a great battery life. The one thing that is a must though, is you must not charge w/ high wattage chargers. You will burn out the little batteries. I learned the hard way. Just charge em on a 1 or 2 amp charger. I buy em 2 at a time, to use in my loud shop, where i need earphones to hear podcasts. I charge one and use one. They dont take that long to charge on the smaller watt chargers.

These are acceptable for use when you don't care if you lose them. The sound quality is okay, although they do not allow for a very high volume, like blasting in your eardrums. I operate loud equipment and have a hard time to hear the music clearly due to the background noise of my machinery. I am thinking of adding ear muffs over top to help drown out the background noise. The ear pieces are an awkward fit in your ears, too. I tried all of the different sizes and found the 'medium' fits my ears the best, but they still have a tendency to become loose and will fall out. The instruction manual was pretty vague about operating the headset. I had to go online to read how to connect them, through Bluetooth, to my iPhone. Also, the base boost amplification is modest, at best. That, too, took a while to figure out how to activate. The sound is far better with the base boost activated. Lots of combinations of pressing buttons and holding for 1 to 5 seconds depending on what you're trying to activate. The neck band is good. It is lightweight, no issues with that. The range is good. I walked about 60 feet (18 meters) away and still had a connection to my iPhone. Mostly it is as advertised.

I bought these to replace a pair of Beats Flex that lasted two years before the earpiece filter started peeling apart and battery life dropped from 8 hours to 4. I had been tracking the Soundcore U2i for a while, and bought it on sale for $28 during Prime Day and figured a budget “upgrade” made sense. An upgrade it surely wasn’t. Sound quality 🔊: Sound quality is the first letdown. Anker markets these as "bass heavy" with BassUp tech, but that phrase doesn't translate to anything meaningful once you're actually listening. The bass overwhelms everything else, and clarity takes a real hit. Coming from the Beats Flex, which isn't audiophile gear by any stretch, the difference in fidelity is obvious within the first few songs. Apple's tuning on the Flex, whatever you think of the brand's pricing, was doing more work than I gave it credit for. The only thing you clearly hear are the vocals and the bass (not the thump, but the beats). Don’t expect any meaningful treble from these. Buttons ↕️ and navigation: The physical controls make things worse. The buttons feel loud and cheap, and Anker crammed power, pairing, and call answering into a single multi-function button that behaves in the most unintuitive way. Try to turn the earphones off while media is playing and nothing happens. The audio keeps on playing until you manually stop playback first, then power down. It's a small thing that becomes annoying fast. Magnets 🧲: The bigger issue is the magnetic snap feature. The earpieces click together magnetically when you're not using them, which should trigger some kind of pause or call rerouting. It doesn't. Media keeps playing through earpieces sitting uselessly against your chest, draining battery for no reason. Worse, incoming calls still route to the earphones even when they're snapped together and hanging at your neck. You end up shouting into your phone while the other person's voice comes from your chest. The Beats Flex handled this correctly: snap the pieces together and audio shifts to the phone automatically, media pauses too. Whatever the magnets on the U2i are supposed to do, they're not doing it. Calls 📞 and microphones 🎤: AI call algorithm is a hogwash. On almost all calls, I kept being told that my voice us getting picked badly - skipping bits, sounding shaky, and like on low bitrate. This never happened with the Beats Flex. Even after pulling the mic to near your mouth, it made little improvement in the audio for the other person. App compatibility 📱: Okay, maybe all of that - bad audio quality, bass washing away all details in the music - all of that, is in my head, I thought. Just a tweak away in the SoundCore app and all it would take is to just adjust it to what I like. Yeah, about that. I opened the SoundCore app, and started to pair the device afresh. It won’t detect. Hmm, what could be wrong? That’s alright, I’ll manually pair it from the list, right? Big deal.. Yeah, no. These are “not compatible” with the brand’s own app. Hilarious! So, I’m stuck with terrible audio quality. Battery 🔋: The fast charging is good, and charges 50% in about 15 minutes. Battery life is also another area where these hold up. Anker's 24 hour claim seems roughly accurate in real use, which is a genuine improvement over the aging Beats Flex. But that's a thin silver lining against everything else. After three weeks I'm returning them. I've used other Anker products before without complaint, so this was a surprising miss for the brand. A longer battery only makes the misery last longer. Skip these unless you specifically need long battery life and don't care about call handling or sound clarity (why would you want that?). Anyone upgrading from a decent set of neckband earphones will notice the downgrade immediately. Bottom line, these are bad earphones - a first from Anker. They really had to work extra hard for making them this bad.

These neckband earbuds are great. Over many years I bought 3 sets. They last a long time (over 2-3 yrs each) with CONSTANT use. Regular earbuds always pop out of my ears (one time right into my glass of OJ while I was walking to the kitchen! I hv no luck with them so these are great. The sound quality is great, the bolune is right enough to drown out loud TVs and people. Highly recommend
