No, it does not stretch any wider.

Q: Does this fit 2007 dodge nitro?

If the '07 Nitro has anchor points at or less than 56" then yes it will fit.

Q: I have a 2004 ford expedition and i cannot find anything to attach this product too. any ideas how i can attach it? there are no hooks in the rear.

Hi Beth,I'm not sure of how you can attach the net if your cargo area has no hooks, but perhaps you can buy some 3M Command hooks, attach them to where you'd like the hooks to be and see how it works.
