Does as it says.
Was having algae issue in my tiny pond. The moment I used this on my plug in box filter it made a big difference. Since it cleaned so well I cut a piece to fit for my waterfall box. Only using a couple solar pumps now. Water has been super clear ever since. Haven't had to wash them yet but should be simple enough.

Works as described
Product works well collecting fines from the water. My only wish is that you had a 36x36 as I have used in a 55gal poly drum

It just works
I read the other reviewa before buying. Don't listen to the noise. This product is amazing. I used the 200 micron. It cleard the cloudiness of the tank to crystal clear in 48hrs. You saw improvement over night. I removed after 48 hrs and discarded.

THE SOLUTION
This product is fantastic. I own a Magnum filtration device. As everyone knows, you can NOT get replacements for the Magnum water preening cartridge. So I purchased this media and simply cut it to the size I needed. Wrapped it around my plastic cartridge. Held it in place with 3 rubber bands. It works like a charm!!! It filters algae out of my tank with ease. Love this product. Highly recommend it to anyone who can think outside the box.

This did the trick
Had green dust algae in my aquarium. I hate using chemicals and I will admit to not being the most patient person sometimes on somethings. For instance, to adjust some lighting, reduce feeding, don't clean as frequently and it's still possible that it will take a month to clear naturally...no thanks. I cut this to my filter size and put in with a clean filter and it was gone in a day, maybe 2. Now, I will not chance not using one.

If you don't mind taking the time to measure and cut to fit your filter, this will save you a bit of money of buying the precut polishing pads.

Does help with water quality but frequent replacing is needed.
I got this to try to clear up lots of particulates in my fish tanks. I cut to fit in my filter/aerating pump and get about 24 hours before it is completely plugged and no more water will go through. It certainly does work but I just wish I could get several days of cleaning power from it.
