Hemway Chalk Paint Bright White 1L, Matt Finish Shabby Chic | Furniture Paint, Chalk Furniture & Walls, Quick Dry & 1 Coat

This was my first time using Hemway chalk paint, and I chose it over other well-known brands because of the excellent colour options available and based on the reviews I read. I am so pleased that I chose to work with this paint!I used Juniper Blue to upcycle an old wooden door to use as a headboard. The paint viscosity was a pleasure to work with, and dried quickly and evenly. I did minimal preparation in the old door before painting, and the paint adherence is excellent. I’m writing this review nearly one year on from doing the headboard project, and the durability of the paint has proved to be great. The colour is stunning, adds such a statement to the room…I’ve just placed another order for more chalk paint with Hemway. Planning to upcycle some more furniture, and can’t wait to see the results!I’ve used other well-known brands of chalk paint before, but found the viscosity so thick it would leave brush marks. In contrast, this Hemway chalk paint went on a dream, and didn’t leave brush marks.I highly recommend this paint.

Paint itself is great, have used various colours before and it covers really well, goes a long way and leaves a quality finish. A little disappointed with the colour of this DARK CHERRY RED, as in my opinion, more resembles deeper watermelon. Still a fruit but not what I had in mind!! Much brighter than anticipated and leans more towards pink than red. Will definitely need to buy darkest red.Dispatched and delivered earlier than expected so no quibbles there.

I am very pleased with the paint , it goes on well and the colour is great, I would definitely order more paint from this company if needed.

Easy to apply with great results. I would recommend using a small roller to apply, much better than my first coat applied with a brush.

I have used various brands of chalk paint to paint furniture and other items. I got this for a baby changing table we are putting in our nursery. I had an idea of what ‘racing green,’ meant and it included vintage autos reminiscent of pine and evergreens and a dark look. This is not that in the least. It is more of a deep emerald after drying. Initially, upon opening the canister, it is so bright I almost didn’t want to use it, but I’ve used enough paint in my lifetime to know deeper colors usually dry at least slightly darker. It was still not nearly the color I was hoping for, so I sealed it with dark wax to achieve the color and patina I’m going for.I chose chalk paint for my project because it’s non-toxic, low odor, dries quickly, and usually has thick coverage requiring fewer coats and required prepping of the piece to be painted. This is a thinner consistency than I’m used to, but was quite low odor and easy to use.The pros: it covered well once I did the third coat even on finished pine. Low-odor and dried quickly (within a half hour and then totally overnight.) The color is deep and rich and very pretty, despite not being ‘racing green,’ in my opinion. It blended well and I can barely see the brush strokes. I wanted to use a roller, but my furniture required a brush in parts and due to COVID-19 I am unable to purchase supplies anywhere but amazon and couldn’t get a roller in a decent amount of time as we live in Ireland. I’m pleased with the way it dried, the brush strokes blending smoothly.The cons: multiple coats needed to cover. Color is not ‘racing green.’ Requires additional product to bring to correct color. It’s incredibly pricey for what you get compared to some chalk paint I’ve used in the past and due to the color needing dark wax, the additional purchase put my project slightly over budget.Overall, I am pleased with the results and would use the product I have leftover for other projects, but without this pandemic, I never would have spent so much on a small can of chalk paint that isn’t the correct color.I’m including photos of the project before, during, and after so you can judge for yourself!

Can not recommend this paint enough, it is absolutely stunning and of such high quality. Covers very well, the colour is true to the description and image.Highly highly recommended.

Ottimo prodotto, l'ho utilizzato per dipingere una libreria grande e un litro è stato sufficiente! Asciuga rapidamente,si applica anche senza carteggiare, facile da applicare.Gradevole al tatto una volta asciutto completamente,colore fedele al previsto,blu mirtillo.La consistenza è la migliore tra tutte quelle provate, inodore e non cola . Assolutamente consigliato!

Habe das Produkt zsm mit Lignocolor Sperrgrund und Lignocolour Versieglung verwendet in der Farbe Dovegrey/taubengrau und das Farbergebnis war einwandfrei, deckte nach zwei Anstrichen perfekt. Ich liebe das Ergebnis. Sehr matt und auch wasserlöslich/pulverig abzureiben ohne Versieglung.

pas de suivi colis, amazon m'informant chaque jour que mon article etait bloqué en douane....puis le transporteur m'appelle pour me dire qu'il arrivait dans 5 minutes.

I bought this as it stated it was ready to go/no primer etc needed, used as advised and was shocked that after following the instructions to the letter and waiting 2 days before using the piece I painted, it scratched off immediately! I now have to find another paint to redo the entire thing

Super produit. La couleur est top et très couvrante. Je l'ai utilisée pour un meuble qui était déjà peint et la peinture a bien caché l'ancienne couleur et les défauts.
