Leyland Trade Fast Drying Water Based Gloss Brilliant White 2.5L

Well done Amazon for selling this excellent paint. Good coverage, dries quickly, no smell and easy to clean. No more turps. Brushes are cleaned easily. My only gripe is that Leyland do not produce water based gloss paint in a range of colours. This has meant buying another named trade water based gloss from Amazon rather than sticking to Leyland.Once used, I do not think that anyone will want to return to buying domestic gloss found in Do It Yourself supermarkets. These trade paints are the only ones to use. Might be more expensive but it is quality paint.

This is not real gloss, it's emulsion masquerading as gloss.It looks the same as vinyl silk,, runs like vinyl silk, dries like vinyl silk,yet is far more expensive than vinyl silk.It doesn't self level, nor shine much.The best fast drying i've tried so far is Johnstones fast drying gloss, which isn't that good, but far better than this overpriced emulsion (gloss)Save yourself £27 and buy another brand, but not Dulux or Johnstones normal gloss as they both yellow fast.

I wasn't sure about this but love it now. It keeps white too.got to do to undercoats let dry 24 hours then give two coats of gloss, perfect, and so white. I did a test with johnsons. By 3 days johnsons put on shelf went creamy yellow but Leyland's brilliant white. So I love this stuff now. It is so easy to use. Looks lovely when done, so clean and bright looking.

Bought this paint to recover some yellowing doors which were painted recently using a well known brand. Easy to apply, although the fast drying means that it 'skins' in the roller tray quite quickly. Goes on well with a roller or brush. Dries really fast. Finish however, although very white, is a bit more silk than gloss, but we don't mind that - it's just good to restore some proper white to our house!

We’ve never tried water based gloss before. We are glad we did as it’s fantastic! No more messy white spirit = good result! The finish is just as good!

Paint goes on well, best gloss paint I have used in a long time.

Decent paint and very useful and pleasant to use. Good to use around the elderly and people who are affected by the odour of traditional gloss paint. No bad odours and easy to clean up afterwards. May not be as white as traditional gloss though.
