Quick install and solid as can be! Very well engineered. Thin rubber strips on the bottom where it contacts the bowl rim keep it from sliding around like others. Fits the elongated bowl just fine, and just as big so the bowl isn't resticted like most. We have a Glacier Bay Elongated Bowl Toilet. Our seat is a Bemis brand, wooden with quick release. Others have said you couldn't mount the quick release type on this. They are partially right, but if you pick up a couple barrel nuts and drive them down the holes in the unit, you can install the quick release bolts into those. Then, use the provided bolts and wing nuts up from the bottom. Works great, solid and easy to install if you're at all handy. This is such a perfect product in every way! Love how it tilts up for cleaning! (I wish it was white, but the cream color isn't too noticable with our white toilet and seat). If you have a non-quick release seat, then installation is even simpler with the provided bolts going down thru the seat and lift.

The toilet seat is absolutely perfect. The extra height makes such a difference. My husband is 6'2" and with the knee surgery without the elevated seat he struggled.

I'm impressed with this toilet riser. I've had another I purchased here as well, but it did not have the heavy duty long screws, nuts, and washers. I fastened this product with my existing toilet lid . It adds about 4 inches of height. I have aging knees and my toilet sits very low to the floor. This installed combination has solved that issue. It is also easy to clean and fits very snug. You will need a flathead screw driver. You can combine the washers from your existing lid (if you chose to use a lid - not required.) The most challenging thing was to get the nut on each screw along with holding the bottom washers in place. But after a little finagling, I got it together!

Due to a posterior hip replacement procedure I needed an elevated toilet seat to prevent me from dislocating my new hip. Originally, I borrowed a toilet seat from a friend. It was torture to sit on and had a small opening not operable for a male. I’ll leave out the details on that, let’s just say it leaked. This toilet seat is the elongated version. My original toilet seat sits on top of it and is secured all together as one unit. Since my original seat was comfortable, so is this one. It also has the total opening of my elongated seat which a male needs to prevent . . . “leaks.” Installation was easy for my friend — I could not crawl on the floor. The only issue was that the two washers supplied were too large for the brackets on my toilet seat. I scrounged up two smaller ones and all was fine. Bottom line (yes, I really typed that): Sitting on a toilet seat after hip replacement is no fun, but it shouldn’t be torture. This toilet seat riser is as good as it gets!

The ring you sit on is very thin, uncomfortable. I like the underside it looks like it would be easy to clean.
