Do yours make noise? I've tried two of these on the waste line of a reverse osmosis system and both made a loud buzz noise while water is flowing.

does it work for air? or is this only for water? I need a 1/4 check valve for an air compressor

I have 5 of these and none of them work in either direction? I bypassed that junction and my system works fine. But I need that junction in place
