Stay well clear . It broke after about 2 weeks . Kept ejecting itself on a brand new m4 Mac mini. long story short I sent it back to crucial 6 weeks later still no return no refund .. they never contact me . I’m doing all the chasing . I’m out of pocket and no sssd .. absolutely fuming . my trusty Samsung t7 still going strong with out a glitch .. Amazon if u can do something please contact me . As I have nothing to show for the £280 I paid

Died after just 8 days during file copy. Completely bricked, 3.5TB data lost... Just don't buy!

Needed a fast SSD external drive to use as an archive to replace a really slow and noisy spindle drive. This fits the bill perfectly. I've always had good experiences with Crucial products (SSD and memory) so didnt hesitate to buy this at the price. Positives: Fast, quiet and small. Works perfectly with my MacBook Pro and is hidden away behind the external monitor. Because of the size I can take either with me when I travel which is massive advantage compared to having to access the old drive using Synology VPN and jumping through a lot of hoops and even then getting slow performance over the internet. Negatives: None other than it is black and small and disappears into my laptop rucksack and can be difficult to find. This is not really the product's fault! All in all very happy

This small external ssd drive is much better than I thought it would be very simple to set up on my pc,it runs almost as fast as my samsung 990 pro,with hardly any difference in loading times,Installed cyberpunk 2077 on my pc loads really quick and plays without a glitch. A great solution if you are not confident playing inside your computer 5 star,will get an 8tb when I've saved up a bit excellent.

I would strongly advise avoiding the Crucial X10 Pro 4TB SSD for any kind of professional work. I’ve now had two of these drives fail within a year. The first drive died after just four months. Crucial support would only offer a replacement after I returned the failed unit, meaning I would lose all the data stored on it. As a video professional, that simply isn’t feasible — the drive contained client footage worth thousands of pounds. I had to purchase another SSD (different brand) out of my own pocket just to recover what I could. Crucial replaced the first unit, but the replacement drive has now also failed in under a year with corrupted APFS structures and I/O errors. Once again, Crucial refused to issue a refund and would only replace the drive on receipt, despite this being the second failure of the same model. Thankfully, this time I had enough spare storage to recover most — though not all — of the data before the drive became unreadable. Amazon were incredibly helpful and agreed to refund the purchase. After two identical failures in such a short time, I can’t trust the X10 Pro line for professional use. Reliability is critical in video production, and these drives have proven too risky. I won’t be using Crucial SSDs again in a professional capacity.

Very compact and light. Great capacity and high speeds. Instantly works out of the box with most operating systems due to the exFAT format. Super simple, no frills. All you need and nothing you don't.

Good quality and durable - still working well.

I use this drive with a M1 Mac book Pro. When I bought it, I thought I would get the 2000+ mbs speed advertised. Sadly, it's barely 900, no where on the advert says that you need USB 3.2 2x2 ports on your computer to realise this speed. Most (with the exception of a handful of the newest macs) don't, and even the newest Macs use USB v4.0 which still does not guarantee the advantage, so in the real world, this drive will be slower than the x9 version which tops out at 1050 mbs. Be wary as to wether the extra speed will be to your advantage, because if you computer is not equipped, it will not, and will in the real world will be slower than the X9. That aside, great quality, great price and a nice small 4tb drive. Just save your cash and go for the better X9 (in the real world)

Was soll ich sagen? Ich habe mehrere externe SSD-Festplatten oder Sticks, aber keine ist wie diese...^^ Superschnell, supergroß, superzuverlässig, supercool (im Sinne von kühl bei der Arbeit), superklein! Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass das Motherboard den richtigen USB-Anschluss unterstützt, damit die volle Geschwindigkeit auch erreicht werden kann.

Me ha sorprendido muchísimo el tamaño, es ridículamente pequeño, prácticamente no ocupa nada y lo puedes llevar a cualquier parte sin enterarte. Pero lo mejor es la velocidad. Transfiere archivos muy rápido y se nota muchísimo frente a otros discos que he usado antes. Ideal si trabajas con archivos grandes o simplemente quieres algo ágil. En mi caso, ha sido una compra muy acertada por lo compacto y rápido que es. Muy recomendable.
