We won one copy of Book1 and Book2 each for a competition on Kids Book Café. My 9 year old is into vocabulary building games these days. This is one of the lightest games that she can carry in her bag to play in school bus with friends. I personally like the fact that the hints/clues are not too obvious and not too difficult for these kids. These crossword puzzles can be played at home without any partner or it can engage all of them together. There are 175 puzzles in each book. Best part is that all are same difficulty level so they can pick up next book without hesitation. Answers are also given at the end of the book to tally once they’ve finished the puzzle. She wants to give these books to her apartment friends as return gifts on her birthday. Ordered 3 sets, sharing photos of delivered book sets and the page she is currently solving from her own book.

It is a bit difficult for my 9 yr old.. but puzzles are good

There are so many mistakes. You can't even finish some puzzles because of wrong numbering or wrong order in answers.

Contains a mixture of easy and hard clues. Quality of paper is good. Binding too is good. The answers at the end are a highlight.

I should have read reviews before ordering this set. There are twelve clues in an acrostic, with very little crossover of the across and down words. At five minutes per crossword this could last about 60 hours, but definitely NOT what I was looking for!! The picture on the books is very misleading, as the crossword itself doesn’t look like that.

My sister loves it

Disappointing. Each puzzle has fewer than 6 words down and 6 words across. These were meant for a gift, but the puzzles would take only about 5 minutes to solve.

Gave these to my mom for Christmas. She's big into crossword puzzles. I figured it would give her something from a different maker. She's not fond of the design, they are not done in a block but free form. So it's harder to get answers, you only have the one clue and 2 or so intersecting words. She says a lot of the answers are off the wall types.
