Awesome price!
This is so expensive in my area. I was able to get this large size for the same price as the small one.

An Acquired Taste For Most
I wondered about this spread ever since "A Land Down Under" came out in the 80's. That was of course "Vegemite" but Marmite is certainly a close first cousin from Great Britain rather than Australia. With a motto and sales slogan "You'll Love it or Hate it" I was a bit leery of my first purchase; so much so that I went this route rather than Vegemite since I'd heard that Marmite was a little milder in taste. I was determined to try one or the other because of all the B vitamins that this contains. This stuff reminds me of a Spam in spreadable form. You know Spam; every useless part of a pig, ground up and seasoned to make a meaty loaf of indefinable origen? Marmite is basically a waste byproduct of the brewing process; you know, the leftovers at the bottom of the vat once the beer is removed. Nevertheless, I tried it and love it! YMMV tho so use with discretion initially. Tip: Do watch a couple of YouTube videos from real Brits or Aussies on how to spread this on toast b/c the average American uses about 4 times too much (therefore making it unpalatable.) Best of luck!

Delicious
Marmite soldiers. Mmmm. We found this at a reasonable price. I love this stuff. Spread it very lightly with an equal amount of butter on toast and cut into strips. These are Marmite soldiers and are excellent for young ones dipped into a soft-boiled egg. Excellent for Vegan gravy stock too if you are a vegetarian. I now spread it thick, but it is an acquired taste.

How did I know I would love this?
This is a larger size than I thought, and very little is used at a time, so this will last a long time. I first put it on toast with butter and moved on to spaghetti, tomato soup, and even in my match tea. I do watch my salt intake, so control my usage...which is hard. If I go nuts on this, I do have potassium supplements to balance out the sodium. May end up in MA some day. Marmite Anonymous.Never heard of this until recently. Glad I did.

Son in law loves this!
Too salty for me, but my son in law loves it! Arrived clean & on time. Outside of container was clean, not sticky, & was wrapped well, so glad wasn't broken. Would order again if liked it

Love it
Marmite has been a constant in my life. I have bought it everywhere - UK, US, Iraq and even a shop in Kabul. Great on toast and as a drink. I use it to threaten my daughter when she is naughty as she thinks it is closely related to oil. I can understand why people don't like it as it is a strange food but very flexible - also good for plugging small holes in car radiators. Anyway, it arrived well wrapped and very quickly.
