great hoover . lightweight enough for my elderly mum to use. good performance .

This is a brilliant hoover for the money! Ordered a cheap Vax and sent it back because it was rubbish, and left behind more than it picked up. This Hoover is the nuts! Dont get loads of attachments, but who uses them anyway? Not heavy and easy to empty. Love it!

Bought this to replace my former beast of a Panasonic. The suction is good on the everyday setting and it clearly picked up the dust that my failing vacuum had been missing. Pros - light to lift - onboard tools - good cable length Cons - feels lightweight when reaching so may fall against furniture - the brush drops off the nozzle when brushing! - you have to alter the setting before using the onboard tools - the suction is so strong that it's not a machine for the faint-hearted! It feels like you've done a work out. - the hose does not fit snugly at the back of the vacuum and looks ill-designed and stretched around everything else eg a holder for a part this model doesn't have. - It says to wash the 2 filters in the dust container and the exhaust filter every month. Overall, it's quite a good vacuum at a good price but not the last word in quality or design.

This is the second purchase, I liked the first one so much I had to get another. Now I have one upstairs and one downstairs. I’ve not been sponsored to say nice things about this Hoover, I’m just genuinely thrilled with it. I’ve been using a Vax cordless upright vacuum for about 15 years and have been happy with it, but it conked out, so obviously went to buy another, or at least something similar but nooo, they don’t make cordless uprights anymore, at least none that I can find that’s actually any good. The absolute last thing I wanted to go back to was a corded one, no way, not going to happen, I refuse. So I got a stick vac, and omg, what a useless bit of expensive equipment that was. It was a glorified DustBuster on a stick, so I was forced to get a corded vacuum and I chose this for a few reasons. 1. It’s a Hoover, so now, when I say I’m just going to hoover the living room, it’s actually correct terminology haha. 2. It was over half the price of the useless stick vac. 3. It’s got an extra long stretchy hose that does all of my stairs without having to lift the machine halfway up and balance it precariously on the edge of the stairs while I hold it with my foot. (I have 13 steps) The suction is great, I have a cat, and he likes to spread his litter around so it’s like walking on a beach, this sucks it up with no effort at all. The attachments are super handy, and the suction is still great with the hose on with the long crevice tool. I only have two negative things to say, it’s not slim enough to get under my bed like my old vax cordless, but it’s not that much of a problem, and the mesh filter that comes apart for cleaning feels a bit flimsy like I’m going to break it when I’m cleaning it (I bought a spare just in case) but apart from that, I’m super happy with it, so much so, my friend also got one! I should work for the company!

For the price this is a great vacuum cleaner. Easy to assemble and use. The instructions are clear. The settings are adjustable and I found number 2 was the right one for my carpets and number 5 for using the tools. It's quiet when running and at just over 5kg a good weight. The crevice tool is inside the extension tube and worked well for skirting boards. Foot pedals to operate. Emptying takes practice but so far so good. Sturdiness is reasonable as it's made of plastic but the cord length is great for cleaning stairs. It works on all flooring so fairly versatile.

Excellent vacuum cleaner great value

So, I sorta impulse bought this when my Henry got damaged and went kaput. So it has an extra long hose for the harder to reach places (with attachments), but it is so long that you can’t really put it on the designated hooks properly because of the length. Poor design overall not just with the hose not fitting properly but the filter/waste container is not designed well either. Where the tube for the hose connects to the waste, the filter is SO close to sides that you really can’t pick up anything of much size without it getting stuck and clogged. Same with the hose, it’s so long you have to manhandle the whole thing to find the block and then ease it out. Okay.. so weight wise, it’s light, has a handle and I can store it in my cupboard easily, it stands upright nicely and doesn’t topple. The overall suction on the main vacuum (not the hose) is good, it has adjustable heights for the type of floor you’re using it on. I would only recommend this Hoover if you are on a budget and need something to tie you over until you can get something better. It does do the job but it’s a mediocre vacuum at best.

Fairly lightweight, great suction. Long hose. Only one small gripe is that because the hoover is light it has fallen over when I extend the hose. I would recommend it at the price however
