The Deck of Many Things - Includes The Book of Many Things

My favorite D&D purchase. The deck is beautiful and has great quality. The source book is a great addition to my DM kit. It really has a lot of good guidance on how to implement the deck of many things into a variety of creative situations. I was really impressed, more so by the book than the deck itself.

I played with the original deck magic item in the early 80s. We had a good time, but I never got around to making my own deck. Someone took their time making this item. This 5e set has 1 hardbound book with adventures and ideas for more. A smaller book with general usage and the deck of cards is also included. It may be the most original and worthwhile adventure set I have seen in the 5e line. Well worth a purchase for just about anyone who plays DnD. Highly recommended. (It requires the 3 core rule books and I would recommend age 16 and up or adult supervision for this game book.)

Got shipped the old one, but thankfully I know how to uncurl foiled cards like this, so I might not be the best person to ask. I was able to uncurl the cards and get them all sleeved without issue. I now use them during character creation for games I DM, just to give players an idea of what their story will be. The book is cool too, with a lot of deck themed high level stuff, which I like, but the standout is the cards. To uncurl foil cards, place them in a warm, humid environment for 10-20 minutes. The paper will absorb the moisture and uncurl the card

Since my original review was removed I will say that I was an original pre order purchaser of this product. When the original product came out it had its issues mainly the cards were of low quality and damaged. But wotc replaced the cards for free for anyone who filed a claim. The artwork is nice, the concepts are easy to implement, and it’s a nice product to have on the shelf.

Overall, as a sourcebook and prop for D&D, if you can get this set through a site like Amazon and not pay the full price ala discounts or used that the publisher wants, this will be worth it. The wonderful thing with the cards, once the fiasco of the misprints was dealt with and there were cards in proper condition; the deck is a fantastic prop piece to have at any D&D table and is designed to be universal regardless of the edition played. There's a box to keep all the cards in and slipcase to keep both deck and book together. If you're looking for a good optional sourcebook, The Deck & Book of Many Things is worth considering. The book that comes with the set,I don't know if it should have been cheaper or have more pages for the price. The artwork is good and there are certainly plenty of ready-to-go stats, maps, and scenarios to accompany any of the cards that get pulled to help a DM who is getting caught with the shenanigans typical of many table tops with the improv and spontaneity.

I'm absolutely ecstatic about these books and cards! They are, without a doubt, my ultimate treasures in the incredible world of Dungeons & Dragons! 👍🏾👍🏾

Beautiful fit to my D&D collection and great for in person seasions

I hate the fact that this has so many bad reviews due to the quality of the cards and so on, i get it WotC and whoever made the books and cards needed to do a much better job but you should have been able to return them and get a replacement. Now i waited to buy this after seeing all the quality issues and the one i got was really good with no issues at all. As for the content, well it has some good things and some not so good things, i like the charms that can be given out with the deck and the idea you can create a story with the original deck. My biggest issue is the extra cards, Im sorry but there is a misconception about the original deck. The small deck of 13 cards has more bad cards than good the full 22 deck has the same amount of good and bad cards (I think 9 of each and 3 that are neither). Of the 44 new cards there are about 35 cards that are beneficial with only a handful of negative cards, I'm sorry but how is this balanced then? The whole point of the deck is to give you a chance at greatness or something really really really bad, the way it can be made into the deck of many more things can make your players superheroes. Besides that one little complaint overall the book of many things is not bad and can add a little bit and now people wont get so scared if one appears.

Questa espansione viene con 2 manuali e il mazzo dicarte custodito in una scatola, tutti di eccellente qualità e molto belli anche da vedere. Io ve lo consiglio.

Completely over priced, but if you know what you're getting and are okay with spending the money, I highly recommend! I've made my D&D group very jealous with it.
