Sturdy, attractive gazebo with excellent customer service (although a lot of parts to assemble)
This Gazebo is replacing a 9-year old hardtop Gazebo from another company that no longer makes Gazebos and no longer supports their previous product. Domi has been making Gazebos for quite awhile and it seems highly likely to still be able to supply replacement parts (such as screening panels) after years of use. Note that in Maine, screening is a major reason for a Gazebo, since mosquitos grow to the size of B52 bombers and clouds of Blackflies hover outside your door. If you live in the South and are only looking for shade, consider sending those unused screening panels to your friends in the North! The Gazebo arrives in 4 very large awkwardly heavy cartons (>60 lb each: don't expect the delivery driver to lug it up to your porch). All that weight translates into a very robust and durable Gazebo, designed to withstand the weather (as an indication, they recommend anchoring the Posts into concrete or, if mounted onto a deck, using 4" long 5/16" structural wood screws driven into decking at least 3" thick). All cartons arrived tightly packed with individually wrapped parts, but in my shipment some of those parts had escaped their wrappings and wound up causing minor scratches as they moved around during shipping. Two of four plastic cosmetic "Corner Covers" arrived with deformations from the molding process. When contacted by email, Domi promptly replied and arranged shipment of replacement "Corner covers" while also volunteering to cover the cost any inconvenience and of "touchup paint". All-in-all, VERY good and VERY pro-active customer service. A welcome standout from so many other companies today that don't even publish contact information. FYI: I determined that Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch "Dark Walnut" satin spray paint is a very close color match for the original dark brown paint that is on my Gazebo, although not quite as glossy. Assembly of the Gazebo will take awhile. As I mentioned in the Title, there are a lot of parts, but the instructions are generally very clear and complete (I only found a couple of diagrams that were slightly confusing: on pages 6 and 7, the instructions indicate the position of the bolts on Part C2, but you insert the bolts only AFTER you slide Part C2 into Parts C & C1 and D & D1 – for final position of the bolts on Parts C & C1 and D & D1, see attached picture). Assembling the side beams and roof bars can be challenging, since it is easiest to hold both ends while making attachments, which means it is best done by two people. However, with patience and clever use of a stepladder, one person can manage. Summary: an attractive, robust Gazebo from a reputable company with excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

Good quality Gazebo
We are quite pleased with our Domi gazebo. It is made from good quality materials, is sturdy and looks like it will last a very long time. It meets and in some cases exceeds our expectations for quality and looks. Having said that, you must be prepared for the work involved in its assembly. It is not an insignificant task. If you are not familiar with mechanical assembly, capable of following detailed instructions, or prepared to devote many hours to its assembly, you should plan to hire someone to assemble it for you. I was impressed with the assembly instructions, how the materials were packaged, and the many screws, bolts, and connectors were all arranged very neatly, but it still took several days to assemble.

Happy, but it has some flaws
Overall, now that it is put together, I am very happy with the gazebo. It looks nice, doesn't leak, and makes being outside peaceful. There were a few frustrating things during the set up process. At at one point, if I thougt returning it would be possible or easy, I probably would have. But now that it is set up, I am glad to have it. It took my husband and I 4 days, working a few hours each day, overall, probably about 12 hours (with a baby so we were slowed down a bit) Pros: Great once set up Doesn't leak even with some of the plastic clips missing from the roof panels (I didn't have the patience to keep putting them back on) Sturdy Easy to open and close curtains and mosquito netting Cheapish compared to similar sized gazebos from big box stores Fairly easy to set up if you have experience putting furniture together It all fit together nicely, and all the holes lined up Cons Some screws go into rivets, and sometimes the rivets would just spin so you couldn't tighten the screws all the way. (This happened to 5ish screws) Wobbly curtain because of the spinning rivets Paid $200 for shipping and has dents in leg Instructions got worse as you went, they were harder to read and make sense of In the end we had to use some screws the were longer than necessary, because there were not the correct amounts of the different screws Instructions said to use screws that just wouldn't work because they were way to short Plastic clips kept falling off the roof panels, to the point we left whatever fell off, off Each roof panel (around 45) had protective plastic you have to pull off, it was VERY time consumming Some screws need a hex bit, and others a Phillips, and it was annoying to keep switching back and forth Frustrating to thread the roof panels into their slots because it's hard to reach and they fit snuggly. We had to have one person underneath pushing up, and one person above pushing down. Will probably have to replace net and curtain in a couple years because they feel fairly cheap. The mosquito net isn't attached to anything at the bottom, so it blows halfway into the gazebo Tips Pull everything out for the frame before starting and put them in alphabetical order. Once you are done the frame pull out all the roof panels and order them the same way Use solo cups for the different screws Have two ladders, or a step stool and a ladder Use gloves for roof, or you will get cuts Don't tighten screws all the way until everything is on for each section Trust the process, it looks really janky before it looks better Don't try to get it done in one day Pin the mosquito net to the bottom of the curtain to help hold it in place If you can't keep the plastic clips on, it seems to do okay without them. Use a drill!

Quality Gazebo But Work!
I purchased this gazebo as I wanted to move from soft roof gazebo to metal, eliminating the need to be on the ladder twice a year, and replacing the cloth roof every other year. I selected this Domi gazebo with rain gutters for the deck. The unit shipped in three very long boxes for the pillars, etc, and one smaller but heavy box for the roof panels. The unit was very well packed, and incurred no damage in shipping. Components are labeled, making it easy to assemble. My biggest issue was the actual dimensions which were in feet, centimeters, and millimeters, and didn’t convert to the same lengths/widths. The actual dimensions were critical for bolting to the deck. I eventually secured two pillars to the railings, mounted the cross-supports, then making sure everything was square and straight, took my own measurements. With help, I placed the pillars, verified everything was square, secured them to the deck and joists, and continued with the assembly. I was impressed by the fact that the holes aligned, helped by not tightening sections as the gazebo was assembled. The roofing panels were the most difficult, especially in the heat. The plastic tabs, that keep out the rain at the top, were not staying in place. I decided to use painter’s tape on the inside of the panels to keep the tabs in place, which resolved the problem. This assembly is a three person job. The instructions were clear. There were some bolts that were too few, but I was able to substitute a longer bolt on the roof to address this problem. As I was assembling, I often verified all corners were square and tightened various parts as I went along. The completed gazebo looks great and we are enjoy it daily. I purchased a small fan for the inside, and then purchased another one for the other interior hook. On hot days, the roof gets hot requiring the second fan. I’ve been reversing the fan in late afternoon to help vent the heat, and change it to downward in the evening. The privacy curtain and mosquito netting is heavy quality. The netting does okay keeping insects out, but it’s not as high and tight to the sides/roof as other gazebos. I used magnets to hold bistro style LED lights in the interior. I very pleased with the quality and look of this gazebo.

100,000% worth your money & time! 1 yr in use and still perfect!!
Best purchase we have made for our back yard!! We’ve had for a year and it’s never wavered in its stability and reliability and beauty. We do fire pits, grilling, social events, projector movie nights, and just a whole lot of relaxing under this Pergola. It’s incredible. Took 2-3 people and two days to build it and the instructions were confusing as hell, but 100,000% worth the purchase and we know it will last us a very long time! The bug netting and curtain options are marvelous and you can use one at a time or none at all and tie to the posts which looks very beautiful. This has made 365 days a possibility for being outdoors. We will just close part of the curtain and put on a fire pit if it’s cold! The rain sometimes blows in through the sides so make sure your furniture is outdoor friendly, but most of the time it keeps everything dry and has a great roof that protects us year round. Buy this, we have had no doubts.

Great Gazebo, somewhat tricky instructions.
Very pleased with this gazebo. It came well packaged in 3 boxes delivered on 2 separate days. The seller informed me of this beforehand. Seller provided good email communication. The boxes were heavy. (80 to 125 pounds each) The directions were good in most spots but lacking in others. However, all was erected in about a total of 20 hours using 2 people. If I had 3 people it probably would have gone quicker. A couple of things to note. Wear gloves!! The edges are sharp and you will get at least some scratches and cuts if you do not. Do yourself a BIG favor and get a 5/32 inch hex bit for a power drill. There is no way the gazebo can be erected in any reasonable time if using the supplied allen wrench. My fingers hurt just thinking about it. Using the drill and bit made the build easier and quicker. We wasted about an hour trying to put the roof panels in using the plastic "Z" clips. We ended up throwing those away and the roof panels just slid into place easily. I really don't really know the purpose of those clips. Note when putting on the top cap, put it in place but don't screw down with the hook until the top roof panels are in place. Also, you need a washer between the hook and inside cap so the hook doesn't go through the hole in the cap. Overall, I like the quality of the gazebo. It is very sturdy and good to look at. Several neighbors complimented us on it. I think this is a great product. It just needs some tweaking of the instructions.

Gazebo construction
We are just about done putting our hot tub gazebo together! Perfect size for our 6 person tub. It arrived in a few boxes so organization of parts was key. We had 3 of us but 4 persons would be better. I think it looks great! The instructions are very good and all parts are labeled. We did think we were missing a part and the seller was very helpful and responsive, but we did find the part. The gazebo seems very sturdy and hope it holds up well to weather. We are very pleased with the results!

Hard work, but very rewarding
First off , yes it’s hard to assemble, yes the instructions can be a bit tricky. My wife and I are 73 and 69 years old and put it together ourselves. Took us 5 days at 6 hrs a day to complete. Some tips are when assembling the frame do not tighten any bolts till you have the 4 corners completed, square up and tighten bolts. Putting the roof frame together was a little harder with just the 2 us us . We used a couple tall step ladders to assist us. Again do not tighten bolts till fully assembled. . Now the metal roof . I started off tightening bolts as I went around, that only lasted for 4 panels. They were crooked and out of square. I thought maybe the frame was out of square, measured and it was square. So I went back to my original plans and not tightening bolts . Only tighten the upper bolts first . Do not tighten any other bolts till you complete the whole side .. this gives you room to adjust panels as you go. I’m not gonna lie , at our age it was an experience, we’re sore as heck from climbing up and down ladders and putting it together ourselves. But is was very satisfying when completed. So don’t expect to open a box and it to pop right up , it was hard work and kinda frustrating at times I highly recommend this 12x14 gazebo
