Liv Maple Lodge

I got this "Liv Dolls" Maple Lodge for a friend as a birthday present, and I think she really likes it. It looks like something I would have liked when I was a kid, and so I thought it would be a nice idea to give her something I never had to go with her Hayden Doll from the "Liv Dolls" Collection. I've noticed the doll inside the sleeping bag, so the sleeping bag isn't as small as it might appear, and I can see that a lot of care went into placing the stickers (also included) on the walls of the Lodge. What's great about it is that there's plenty of room to store the accessories, which include a light up campfire (it must contain batteries to work), hammock, cooking utensils, pretend magazines, cards, table and chairs and sleeping bag, so the entire Lodge can be transformed from an open dolls house into a pretty box shape complete with girly entrance, and carried around. So far nothing is broken, but I think my friend is fairly patient and therefore not overly excited enough to break anything; also as she herself has never had a dolls house of her own when she was a little girl and so I imagine it is for that reason that she takes good care of it. I recommend this toy to any girl with the patience to assemble it for herself, and also as it is far simpler and, in my opinion undermined by the "Barbie" franchise.

This was bought for my daughter this Christmas, as I had got her the Hayden Liv doll and several outfits and wigs. It was a lovely surprise for her, and she was very pleased with the toy, especially as I'd also bought her a lovely Barbie sized, American west covered wagon, which fitted nicely with Maple Lodge.The Lodge itself is nicely constructed and folds neatly away when not in use, however, the roof is tricky to fit on and has a tendency to fall off. Inside there are lots of things to play with, including a great campfire which really lights up, sleeping bag, table and log stools. There is also a hammock, but this is a bit fragile and unless the dolls is placed in it just right and with great delicacy, she falls out on the floor and the hammock collapses - very frustrating for a seven year old.On the whole, this is a nice toy, worth the price, and a lovely addition to the Liv world.

All I can say about this is our Granddaughter thinks it is fantastic, she asked for it for Christmas, and has played with it constantly...if she is happy, then so am I.

This Liv Maple Lodge was great value for money. This toy has given my grandaughter hours of fun and when she is visiting her nana and aunties she takes this with her. I am planning to buy her more items to add to her collection.
