Excellent adjustable heavy dumbbells
Easy to use, intuitive and excellent quality dumbbells. Excellent for rows, OHP, bench press and curls. The color coded system is easy to use. No issues.

Better than Bowflex
Bought these as a replacement for Bowflex dumbbells (as the Bowflex we're recalled). Works well. Easy to switch weights. I do like that you can take out the inner weights for most slight adjustments. More compact than Bowflex. The cage design makes it harder to do some exercises though

Best “Feeling” Dumbbell Grip Out There
I’ve used a lot of different types of weights, but the thing that stands out to me with these is the quality of the knurling on the grip. It’s the best “feeling” dumbbell grip I’ve used. I never knew how much that could make or break a product. As far as ease-of-use goes, these are fine. They do the job. There are easier to use dial weights but these are certainly going to last way longer than those.Very happy with the purchase after a couple of months with them now.

JUST BUY THEM!
I almost never write reviews, but I like these dumbbells so much that I felt compelled to come on here and share my experience. I am not paid, sponsored, or affiliated in any way — just a very satisfied customer. Background: I’ve been doing CrossFit and heavy lifting for many years. I’ve owned Bowflex 552s for about 8 years and honestly still like them — they’ve held up well and worked great.A few years ago, when I wanted adjustable dumbbells that went up to 90 lbs, I decided to try the Bowflex 1090s. Huge mistake. The 1090s were a disaster: plastic components, unreliable click mechanisms, and constant issues. Within months, the selector system started malfunctioning and weights would randomly drop. I tried to push through for a couple of years, but the final straw came when I was doing single-arm dumbbell hang snatches and a weight literally flew off mid-lift. I walked them straight to the trash that day. After that experience, I did a ton of research and focused on one thing only when looking at dumbbells over 50 lbs: sturdiness.Sturdiness (my biggest concern)These are absolutely rock solid. The slide-select system is extremely secure, uses a strong magnetic hold, and once the weight is selected, there is zero shifting or movement. They feel like fixed dumbbells, not adjustable ones pretending to be.Performance during dynamic liftsI do a lot of dynamic dumbbell movements — snatches, cleans, front squats, etc. I was worried the structure might interfere with wrist position or arm path. It doesn’t. At all.No awkward contact, no shifting, no balance issues. Clean, natural movement.Unexpected bonusesThe profile is much narrower than Bowflex dumbbells. Even the 552s — and especially the 1090s — are extremely bulky. Once you go over 60 lbs on the 1090s, the dumbbells become long and awkward, forcing you to change your natural movement patterns. Curls, presses, and Olympic-style movements all feel unnatural. These don’t have that problem. They feel compact, balanced, and stable. There’s also none of that “hanging weight” wobble that adjustable dumbbells often have.Final thoughtsIn my opinion, this design is the only option for heavier adjustable dumbbells. Anything that relies on rotating dials or click-on/off plastic mechanisms is eventually going to fail — especially under heavier loads. These feel like they’ll outlast me.I’m extremely pleased, to the point that I’m already planning to buy sets as gifts for friends. Easily one of the best home-gym purchases I’ve ever made.
