original 40% Limburger

Tastes good, OK on toast. Didn't cause me any lactose-related problems.

Despite this saying on the pack that it is lactose free and the description clearly stating it, my packet came in a different wrapper with a sticker in bold stating that it contained pasteurised milk. On enquiring I was told that due to fermentation this cheese becomes lactose free. It doesn’t. I’m severely lactose intolerant and as soon as I ate this I became very poorly. So poorly in fact I needed to take medication I’d been able to avoid for months. The fermentation process will make This lower in lactose than most cheese which some intolerant people can cope with. This is a costly mistake for me but will know for next time. Obviously it tastes great and if you aren’t intolerant you’ll love it, just be careful if your intolerance is high like mine. I feel that despite asking before I consumed this and from the clear notes on the product this is slightly misinformation on the part of the seller. Yes, they are right that fermentation alters the structure but unless it clearly states on the pack like the picture (as mine did not) and is specifically made to be lactose free it won’t be. The sticker advise that it contains cows milk kind of gives it away

One of the best & smelliest cheeses around.. Great difficulty finding stores that stock it!Wonderful that Amazon can obtain supplies.

I am well acquainted with this cheese. It smells a lot but tastes delicious.

Arrived promptly and as described- well packaged as the cheese tends to be smelly- my uncle will be pleased with it.

Der Geschmack super würzig so wie wir es mögen toll kaufen wir immer wieder

Kenne ich aus meiner Jugendzeit, ein Käse unglaublich was man mit zubereiten kann. Kleiner Tipp gekochte Kartoffel, Butter, Salz, Pfeffer und natürlich den Käse. Ich liebe es!

Der beste Limburger überhauptMan sollte ihn aber noch liegen lassen bis Er anfängt zu riechen, dann ist er reif an Geschmack und für die Nase.
