Continental Tour Ride 700 x 32c Bike Tyres (Pair)

I have used Continental tyres for years, with great results. These are great tyres, and appear to be very well made and I am sure they will last a long time. But, for those specifically looking for 32's, these absolutely measure up as 28's once fitted and inflated. For me this is a good job, as this is the max. size tyre my forks will allow without rubbing, so not a problem. But, for those wanting 32's, this will fall short of expectations.

Have only used for 100 miles or so over past couple of days, so difficult to rate for durability and longevity. Have used over a variety of surfaces, including recently resurfaced roads, uneven bike paths, a shared pedestrian/cycle area covered in 1 - 2 cm of sand, and main roads.Very impressed with both the grip and the little or no loss in speed despite this.

These tyres, when fitted actually measured only 28mm but they should have been 32mm. I didn't realise at the time and went out for a quick spin on them. Unfortunately this meant I couldn't return them as defective so I've had to use them on another bike.

I can't fault them. Fitted to a hybrid for commuting and they've been reliable in the wet while the tread does not feel like it slows the bike down. No punctures during a year of riding unlike my road bike which has had two punctures on the same route.

Terrible durability. They are split and cracked all along the side walls from having just sat in a shed for not even a year. No use at all, just storage and its cracking and splitting substantially. My Schwalbe Marathons never cracked like this, even after many years of the same storage. Very poor quality. Plus the ride feels weird, they dont feel rigid taking corners, almost spongey, compared to the Schwalbe. I thought I was saving money instead of getting the Marathons, but seems to be a false economy.

Good value tyre but they are 700x28c not 700x32 as advertised.

Decent tyres for the price.
