no instructions - how do I get 8 openings to jar opener when it looks like 4? Also a reviewer says there's a lifetime guarantee -but no paperwork

There are 4 from the angle you can see..but when you turn it over there is another 4 slightly smaller..so depending on the size of the jar ,you just turn it over...the smaller one in the middle is definitely the best for me..I just pls e the centre over a lemonade bottle give it a turn and sesame open..I have arthritis bad so th8s is such an asset...well worth every penny ..hope this helps

Can this remove a lid measuring 10cm in diameter?

No. It couldn’t - in fact I couldn’t get it around a 7cm jar lid ! And when I used it on a smaller jar it just slid around the lid -no grip at all ! I threw it away and bought one from Morrisons (This has a soft silicone band which grips the lid ). Having said that ring pull lever is FANTASTIC - worth its weight in gold.

Can this open childproof’ tops

I don’t know specific items, but at 81+ years of age and previously experiencing trigger thumb because of struggling to open tops, I can open everything I use and the ailment has gone.👍
