I use this for cleaning grime and make-up off wooden doors
All of the wooden doors in my house have a build up of dirt/make-up around the handles. This worked really well for cutting through the filth, just rubbing with a cloth. Good size bottle, seals well with no leakage.

The Purple Dye can leave a stain on Fabric.
As this product has the usual purple dye in it- remember that when it evaporates, it can leave a stain of purple on the cloth.

Cleaned gas meter card reader head perfectly.
Used this to clean the card reader head in my prepayment gas meter as it was often giving an error when inserting the card and getting it work was a real hassle of trial and error. An engineer had come round, sent by the gas company, and said the meter needed replacing and that it would have to be smart meters.. which meant they'd have to replace my electric meter as well. That seemed a bit extreme to me so I said don't bother, wait. I'll see what I can do before we do that... Did a little research, ONLY Methylated Spirit should be used for this kind of thing. Clean cloth, spirit on it, wiped the cloth on the "back" of my gas card, put it in and out of the meter a few times with the spirit side up, wiped card clean with a dry cloth. Card reader now works every time. Crazy that gas engineers don't know you can just clean the card reader head in literal minutes to fix this kind of problem... or perhaps they are just trying to force smart meters onto everyone or something. I also got some "Shrinkable Food Covers" to put over the face of my gas meter from now on to protect it from the elements and hopefully prevent it from getting dirty again.

Fine but packaging suspect
Haven't used it yet, but I am sure that it will be fine. Packaging wasn't 100%. The container was leaking slightly when I opened it.

Methylated spirits is useful for many things. Great for getting sticky glue from glass, a great degreaser. Arrived swiftly and well packaged. AAA Recommended

Burns clean in Pot Warmer and useful around the house for cleaning Label Goo off things. A must have in any handyman's workshop.
