Have supplemented with some form of CoQ10 for a long time. One reason is cardiac concerns. Cardiologist Dr. Stephen Sinatra has studied CoQ10 for many years and recommends it as a supplement. Can find one such article he wrote here: "CoQ10 Facts: CoQ10 Benefits, Dosage & More" That is a healthy directions article. He also writes about other supplements that are good for the heart. He has an "Awesome Foursome" and CoQ10 makes that list. "coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), L-carnitine, D-ribose, and magnesium" is what he suggest daily. "The Awesome Foursome" at HeartMDInstitute article. But what is GG, Geranylgeraniol? There is an interesting mouse study here: "Beneficial effect of dietary geranylgeraniol on glucose homeostasis and bone microstructure in obese mice is associated with suppression of proinflammation and modification of gut microbiome" PMID: 34352722 Concluded "In this study, we presented the beneficial effects of dietary bioactive component, GGOH, on T2DM-associated disorders, namely, hyperglycemia, insulin resistance, bone deterioration, inflammation, and altered gut microbiome composition. The findings of this study support our hypotheses that GGOH supplementation into a high-fat diet: (i) improved glucose homeostasis, (ii) mitigated bone microarchitecture deterioration and improved bone quality, (iii) reduced pro-inflammatory adipokine, and (iv) modified taxonomic profiles." Just seems like a good addition. CoQ10 is a winner of a supplement as well. Clean product; didn't produce issues for me. Worth discussing with your doctor.

I have been taking COQ10 for a while now but I have never taken one that also contained geranylgeraniol (GG). I read that GG is a substance we make in our bodies and is found in some foods. The production of GG is inhibited when we take statins but also declines as we age. This decline is responsible for the muscle mass that is gradually lost with the aging process. Currently there are human clinical trials in progress to establish the most effective dose of GG for the prevention of toxicities from statins. This COQ10 supplement not only gives you ubiquinol, which is the most effective form of CoQ10, but it also has 50 mg of GG to help your body synthesis its own COQ10. The company Xtendlife is a well established company in New Zealand and seems to produce high quality supplements. After all my research I believe this is a superior brand of COQ10 and I have decided that I will continue to take it. I think we will be hearing more about GG in the near future.

There is another, later appearing version of the same things, for about half this item's price, so I say this is a Poor Value for the same thing. Look for it, and you should be able to find it.

CoQ, for a long time now, is known to help with muscle endurance and energy in particular for those that take certain pharmaceuticals. My doctor has recommended this supplement to me for low muscle energy and endurance thanks to aging! Sigh! So much maintenance as we grow older. But it did and does really help. This CoQ10 has an added ingredient I never of heard and had to look it up. The GG ingredient, also known as Geranylgeraniol is the building block for CoQ. The science is documented and out there. The science says basically COQ works better with this GG included in the formula. Knowing a little about the brand and the founder and partners tells me I found a quality supplement and i can trust that this supplement is safe to take into my body. This Xtendlife CoQ Brand is out of New Zealand where they also do research and development. The story of the Founder is also very interesting. I highly recommend this CoQ + GG if you have any muscle issues whether manufactured or as a natural consequence of aging because you will see the difference.

I have taken CoQ10 in the past for the many benefts and according to some studies, improved energy production. Ordering this was even more important because I was taking a statin for awhile. I had done some research and my research showed that statins can reduce CoQ10 levels; and my doctor agreed that it could help. I also looked up the other additives and it appears they also help with statin use. Fortunately, I do not have to take statins any longer but I still continue to take this supplement as I have in the past. For me, it helped with muscle weakness as I get older. CoQ10 levels get lower with age and I just want to make sure that I am doing everything I can to stay healthy and take supplements to keep me that way.

This is a good source of CoQ10. The soft gels are easy to swallow. The dosage is just one soft gel a day. They are easy to discern from vitamin e soft gels because they're kind of a reddish color. These come in a sealed and dated container and are fresh.

I take CoQ10 regularly for health maintenance and was intrigued by this new formulation, which includes geranylgeraniol (it’s a fun word to say LOL) to facilitate absorption. I had never heard of this ingredient so I did a little research and found that it does indeed potentiate absorption of certain vitamins, that it is found in many foods and is generally recognized as safe. This product is made by a well-respected New Zealand company which has been producing supplements for many years. The pills are smallish, clean, well-packaged and have a slight, pleasant odor which I associate with a fresh effective product. The expiration date is about 2 years after I received it. I am happy to have this in my anti-aging arsenal.

For everyone that needs or wants to take a Coenzyme Q10 supplement, I can recommend this one. Its tasteless when you swallow the caps, and they are of average size so you shouldn't have any issues swallowing them. The biggest thing I can say is that I did not have any adverse side effects which is always a good thing, but everyone is different and you may have a totally different experience. I won't go into the benefits of CoQ10, because only you can decide if you should take it or not. For those that are looking for a CoQ10 supplement and haven't settled on one yet I can recommend this one because I didn't experience any side effects, they are easy to swallow and tasteless. The only drawback (which is true of many supplements) is that I can't tell a difference in my body or I can't determine if its working, you just have to trust it is or isn't. So I have to give it 4 stars, it would get 5 if I can tell it was effective.
