Ok.. read all the reviews and still managed to press the 'buy' button. Quick delivery and the delivery company did a sterling job under distancing rules... must be costing a fortune! driver in the lorry plus her mate driving solo in a fiesta. He knocks, unloads and she stayed in the cab :) Some peeps complained about assembly.. so here's my take :- Couldn't be easier.. the destructions were easy to follow ( be aware that you need 2 washer's per bolt.. the sheet shows only 1 per!!) The bit that seemed to obstruct many previous reviewers .. alignment!! There are some of the holes that don't immediately align by themselves. They need a little encouragement they WILL align. My tip: use a phillips screwdriver to prise the holes into line, then put the bolt in the other holes and fit nut. remove screwdriver -fit bolt. Pretty straightforward stuff for this type of assembly. If you are only using the tools supplied ...think again.. it will take you absolutely ages to use the supplied Allan key because you will have to remove / reinsert / repeat for an eternity to get anything anywhere near tight. To get over this i used a handy kit which includes a handle that i can fit an Allan key bit to, a ratchet that fits into the top of the screwdriver makes it so much easier and faster to assemble. I built the set solo in about an hour and 20 minutes.. Think - Check - Think again. HTH P.S Now the cushions have been unwrapped and placed i have found the covers.. i had forgotten all about the included covers... Very neatly made and are 'tailored' to the units so fit nice and taut no flapping / oversized offerings here. You will have to be careful when removing the cover from the 2 seat unit as the cover is that tight it may / will snag on the locating hook if you are not careful. Further update after a years ownership: Cushion Covers are NOT waterproof... water-repellent yes Proof NO. Saying that the foam drains quickly and they are as good as new again. Cushion Covers: they tend to fade quite badly in the sun... but there again everything does eventually. So _ keep rotating them or remove and use the cover religiously

Great seating at an amazing price. We have used it pretty much every day and is very sturdy and comfortable. It isn't the easiest to assemble but not too difficult with 2 people. The trick is not to tighten the screws/bolts until it's all in place and then tighten all up. I had pre ordered a cover from a other supplier which had good reviews however was delighted to find that it not only came with a cover , but it was far superior and of course a perfect fit, than the one I had already bought. The rattan look is more a grey colour than shown in the picture but that was probably preferable anyway as it coordinated better with the grey cushions. People have commented that the cover doesn't fit when the sofa is put together but if the weather is unsettled then we leave off the 2 connectors so if it looks like we're in for heavy rain we simple unhook the sofas ( 20 seconds) and put the covers on ( which are really heavy duty)

Really like the furniture, the quality, the look, the comfort. It took rather a long time to build, however. Part of the problem is that the instructions are not 100% clear. There are some bolts of one size; some of another size; but no clarity about which should be positioned where, so it was a matter of trial and error, and then having to undo and re-build some of it. It would help if the holes were all accurately sized. One of the four little rubber feet for the table was missing; seems to be rattling inside the whole table and can't be accessed; so am having to use the table without any rubber feet until I can find a supplier. I had no heart to unbuild the entire furniture and return it to the seller. Amazon provided a small discount. I still have to find a rubber foot part to try and ensure the furniture is not damaged in wet weather. But otherwise, it really is a lovely product.

Amazing delivery, placed the order Thursday and received our corner sofa on Saturday (2 days later). We knew as soon as we opened the first box that we had made a good choice, the materials looked good quality and well made. It took us 2 - 3 hours to assemble it that's including 2 tea breaks, to be honest most of that time was spent on the first sofa once we knew what we were doing the second one took about 20 minutes. We didn't encounter any of the problems that some of the other reviewers mention and believe me we are not experts at DIY. The finished product looks much more expensive than the price we paid and better than all of the similar style sofas that we looked at in stores. It feels sturdy, the cushions are well made and thick, it's very comfortable and looks good. An added bonus is that it came with protective covers. Overall we are extremely happy with our purchase.

Arrived on time - in 2 boxes - assembly was a bit tricky at first - mixing up screws - but when joiner son in law arrived he sorted that. Assembly took about 40mins then. Looks great & it includes a waterproof cover. Happy with the quality product from Backyard & the sale price.

We’re so pleased with this corner sofa, it’s well made and sturdy, my husband had no trouble putting it together, he put everything in loosely then tightened it up once in position. The quality of the rattan is good and the colour is nice and soft to the eye. It’s nice to see complete sofas instead of modular ones. No choppy look. The cushions are very well made and firm to sit on so will give good support. The side and back cushions are comfy to lean against. The cushion material is thick and hard wearing, a very practical colour too- we couldn’t be more pleased!

Very easy to assemble but we are pretty handy. It only involves bolts, nuts, washers and an Allen key. Very straightforward - make sure you use washers both sides of the frame. It’s a couple of cm shy of 230cm so fit perfectly into our 8ft corner summer house. The cushions are thick and comfortable unlike many we have seen in the price range (499.99). Due to the ‘snugness’ of the set in our summerhouse we haven’t yet managed to join the 2 parts together but there is very little movement in there. I have to say, we were very apprehensive about spending this much money on an Amazon purchase but I’m happy to say that we are thrilled. Customer service were very helpful and even delivered a week earlier than they initially quoted. 5 stars .

I thought I’d write a review to hopefully help anyone buying this sofa, and more importantly building it. Firstly, it’s nice…comfortable…and good value. I’m A big bloke…6’3 and 30 stone…I’m comfortable on this and it feels sturdy. I’m terms of constructing, just some tips. Some reviewers are saying they build this in an hour…it’s a good 4 hours with breaks in between. Use your own tools. I used a good strong Allen key and a spanner. Trust me it’s a lot easier. Another tip, try and build at a raised height if you can. I used our camping table, it’s so much easier and saves your kneecaps. I copied another tip I read on here to just put a couple of screwdrivers in holes when lining things up (thanks for the tip!)…it really helps…see photos. Hope this helps!
