Review: GREAT COMICS - Why I purchased: I used to reread the same Calvin and Hobbes book when I was a child, after I found it at my grandma's house. When I first remembered of my childhood delights of reading Calvin and Hobbes, I decided that I would have to order any book in that series. This was my second book that I purchased and I still enjoy these comics as much as I did as a child. What I love: I love how this book is so high quality! I won't go into too much detail of the contents of the book because Calvin and Hobbes are amazing comics. If you wish to start your child off with comics, and don't want to worry about inappropriate content, this is perfect! The vocabulary is high for a six-year-old character, but that's what taught me new words back then, after I got tired of not knowing what some of the jokes meant. This is the same book that you could pay extra money for at Barnes and Noble. It's super richly bound and prepared to last a life time. What I don't love: I love everything! Conclusion: If you don't want to spend so much at Barnes and Noble and you want to get something clean for your child to read, and still learn from, then Calvin and Hobbes should be your go to! These books are high quality with timeless content. If you read these as a kid, just buy them again! Reread them because it's like reading them new each time you go around. I totally recommend this purchase for new and old readers of Calvin and Hobbes. Review: Clever, Charming, Funny, Heart-Warming and Fun for All Ages - Funny, intelligent, and heart-warming; the adventures that Calvin and Hobbes have together are classic. Like the digital editions of _Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat_ and _Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons_, this one has the ability to zoom and pan on the pages. This highly-appreciated feature allows one to fully experience the details of one of the best comics ever created, particularly with the more dense and lush full-color Sunday edition panels. The are a few strips that are "duplicates" between the other three books I've read and reviewed (_The Essential Calvin and Hobbes_, _Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat_, and _Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons_), but with treasuries such as this, that's not entirely unexpected and the "duplicates" are still funny. ;) I do still wish one could bookmark favorite strips for easy revisit later, but that's my only quibble. Overall, an excellent, highly-recommended digital volume.
