No, we haven't straighten the hair.

I'd recommend, to nip it at the ends & what I mean by nip is trim as it does shed a little bit especially if you straighten it & yes you can straighten it but at a low temp 140°c but to cut it, what's the point buying long hair if your going to cut it? If your going to cut it I'd recommend you buy a shorter length if this too long for you, also I wouldn't recommend you cut this if your aren't professional as you might regret it or cut it too short. So no I wouldn't cut it but slightly dust it at the ends

They are darker than the picture

Can you wash the hair? If so, can it be any shampoo?

I did wash it with my regular shampoo and used conditioner after and after drying it it was as if I would just took it out of the bag brand new.
