We are tired of suitcases coming back cracked and missing wheels, so we decided we wanted fabric (less likely to slip off a pile of cases) and embedded inline skate wheels (much harder to snap off). Well these trunks fit that brief and they are large. They are also made of strong heavy ballistic cloth, and the compression straps and clips are thick webbing, strong and well stitched. The case opens flat like a clam shell. Each side closes with a zippable flap, so your contents don’t spill on opening. There is one big pocket on the front. The case stands up on its own when properly packed. It packs well into an oblong shape, so it is efficient use of a large volume. This is a real ‘simple done well product’. We added some size-matched compression bags which gave the case even better structure when packed.

I am very impressed with this 42L carry-on. I compared how much it can hold with another carry-on suitcase and it held a little more. I have not used it yet so I cannot verify its durability but it seems very study and well made. It weights about 5.3 lb, more than stated in part of the description. I like the grey color.

Great size back. Perfect for a 10 day trip with room to spare. Not too large that if you stuff it, it’s unmanageable. Used it for a trip to Italy and it held up well through baggage. The wheels held up on the sidewalks and streets of Florence. I don’t know if I would change a thing.

This little bag is perfect for a short trip. I took it overseas for a week and it was good enough to contain everything I needed for work. Also, it's a great carry-on as it fits on any airplane I've been on.

Pros: It is very lightweight. The build quality looks durable; fabrics, stitching, wheels, and connections all look solid after first two international trips. Wheels roll smoothly, handle extends and folds reliably. Sleek, minimal, attractive design with almost zero corporate branding looks good on vacation or on business. Cons: I hate the 50/50 clamshell design; would be great if every trip only required zipping twenty Tshirts in one side and twenty Tshirts in the other side; with both internals zipped, you lose at least a square inch all the way around three sides...how much is that in cubic inches? Despite the pros of this bag, I really really wish the external zipper had been located all the way at the front of the bag (or at the top when the bag is laying in packing position on a bed or table), which would have given a large, unified, unbroken, rectangular bathtub of packing volume topped with a flat lid for maximum density and/or maximum internal flexibility. As other reviews have noted, placing the zipper in the middle of the rectangle forces the external grab handles to awkward, less-useful locations. Finally, it is a cardinal sin common to many luggage companies: compression straps that only compress a minority of the bag. Overall, the bag is worth buying if you care more about light weight, quality build and sleek looks; and if you care less about the awkward clamshell and awkward grab handles, and awkward compression straps.

I was devastated when my favorite suitcase finally kicked the bucket, so I spent a LOT of time researching my next one. Here's why I landed on this: - Wheels are tucked into the suitcase. It reduces the risk of a wheel breaking off, plus external wheels take up more room in the overhead compartment so you get more space in this suitcase. - Soft top. I debated back and forth for a long time on hard vs soft top. My preference is soft because you can squish it into spots you might not be able to with a hard top. - Clamshell style. I can easily separate clothes from shoes and my Dopp kit with this style of suitcase - I feel like I can be better organized when traveling. - Price - I have the grey one, and it was surprisingly affordable in comparison to other suitcases. - Aligns with European travel guidelines. I bought this for a trip to Europe, and some airlines over there have smaller carryon rules than here in the US. Even though this suitcase was a bit smaller, I still managed to pack for an entire week in Sweden and Denmark in the winter in this one carryon. - When I got the suitcase I liked the feel of the wheels (my husband says I'm nuts on this one ha)

This is a nice bag with qualty components. The soft half is a little too soft. If it were not completely full it collapses and looks weird or damaged. The lock works well.

De Eastpak TRANVERZ S, 42L is groter dan ik dacht en is fijn in gebruik omdat je 'm naast rollen als nodig ook oppakt als een normale koffer. Ik vind achter me aan trekken veel comfortabeler dan 'naast' me mee trekken wat je met vier wieltjes doet. Omdat de wielen wat groter en van rubber zijn ze ideaal voor op straat waar je ook stoep op en stoep af gaat.

Voyage avion Bagage de grande contenance + de 20kg sans prob très costaud, nous l avons teste dès sa livraison pour notre voyage au Maroc. Il a teste les ruelles chaotique de Marrakech et la soute de l avion. A acheter sans hésiter, top pour voyager car facile à manipuler, le linge reste bien en place grâce aux deux compartiments, très bonne qualité de tissus et de finitions. Bien mieux qu une valise coque ou souple possibilité de mettre des objets plus fragiles dans la partie rigide car recouvert par le compartiment souple. Vraiment nous ne regrettons pas notre choix car nous l avons teste, voyage pour 8 jours, avec les vêtements pour 4 adultes. Seul bémol que le service amazon a règle immédiatement, la livraison ne peut être fait en relais, le livreur nous avait laisse le carton sur le pas de la porte sans nous prévenir, nous étions partis en week-end , le sac devant arriver le mardi. A notre arrivée, le lundi, plus rien dans le carton évidemment. Le service client a immédiatement renvoyé un nouveau sac que nous avons réceptionné le mercredi. Cette fois, le livreur nous a alerte par SMS de l heure de son passage et nous a fait signe le bon de livraison. Je prendrai dans les prochains mois ce sac dans d autres dimensions car vraiment idéal pou voyager en avion ou train car facile a caser dans les rangements pour bagages et dans le coffre de la voiture. Et de plus prend très peu de place à la maison pour stocker.
