Great for beginners. Sound is very good and significantly fewer squeaks
My daughter just started playing clarinet in elementary school band. Softer reeds are easier to play without squeaks, even if they lack a little in tone. She likes practicing and playing a lot more now that she can play without the "duck calls" as her band director refers to them. Needless to say, her mother and I appreciate the fewer squeaks too when she's practicing at home.
