Very satisfied
I'm quite amazed by the current generation of LED products and this one in particular. It really fits my needs: The beam angle is right, and its halo is much cleaner and precise than the one of the halogen spots it replaces. Colour temperature of this model is 3000 Kelvins, which I really like - not yellowish, yet not cold at all. Also, with a CRI of 90, it is supposed to render colours better; indeed I don't have the feeling "I'm missing some frequencies". The only feature I was not able to test is the dimming which shift colour temparature to warmer colour temperature.Again I'm amazed by what this product is doing at such a price. Did I mention it consumes ten times less power (5 vs 50 watts) than the totally obsolete halogen spot it replaces? One last thing: triple check the Philips model number when you order it as they produce a lot of different variations (colour temp, CRI, angle, etc).

Expensive but Reliable
They're expensive for what they are but they are reliable and they dim much better than the Auraglow dimmable (with a varilight dimmer switch). The Auraglow that I have don't dim smoothly to 'off'.Initially, I fitted the house with Superled and interlux which had quite high failure rates. I haven't had a Philips or an Auraglow fail yet (in a house of twenty six LED bulbs).I haven't given five stars because of cost.
