Every child should read Ramona books

I loved these as a kid and my 9 year old just zipped through the set. These are not fantasy, they are about a kid dealing with real life concerns for kids.

I had the Ramona books as a child and after the film came out my daughter became Ramona obsessed. This was the only place I was able to find the booms and although delivery took awhile, as long as you allow enough time for them to come, it's worth it. Great stories.

Kids (8 -boy and 5 - girl) LOVE these books. Bought them for my daughter, but my son is greatly entertained by them also

We love the Ramona books in our house. I read them as a little girl and now my seven year old daughter reads them to herself at night. Ramona Quimby is a great character - sassy and headstrong she is also a sensitive little thing, her imagination and curiosity getting her in to trouble at every turn. With strong family values and Ramona getting a bit older with every book this second collection in the series should be on every 7+ little girl's bookshelf. Fun to read aloud or to yourself.

Infuriated by Amazon. The package had the wrong address (though I gave them the correct one) and traveled around for awhile before being returned to Amazon. They refunded the money, but what I wanted was the book. If I'd wanted just the money I wouldn't have bought the book. Grrrr.

The stories are wonderful. Five stars and recommend. But the product supplied is one that is supposed to be only for sale in the Indian Subcontinent. Printed in India on different/lower quality paper to the US\IK edition. The Indian edition is not supposed to be sold in UK: hence the 3*. Amazon should do better at vetting its products and sellers.

I read these myself when I was maybe 8-10. Read these aloud to my kids who (7 & 9 yo) and they absolutely loved them. Beverly Cleary’s emotional realist children’s stories about problems and feelings faced by real kids doesn’t age one bit.

As my kid just said, ‘I really loved the books - they were really interesting and do much fun to read! Would recommend getting volume one before volume two. I liked the new design and am glad it had the original illustrations inside!’

Great books! They are a classic for young readers. We have both collections and my 7 years old reads them and enjoys them very much. The narration is fun, modern and realistic.

I remember reading books about the exact same characters in these books when I was a kid. They were funny and entertaining back then and my 9 year old granddaughter finds them funny and entertaining now. She reads these books aloud whenever she comes over so and we both enjoy the stories and adventures of this little girl named Ramona and her family.

My kid loved this series. The conflicts of Ramona with her sister and other family members, friends and teachers and their resolutions were so easy to relate to - Life of an 8 year old is sure full of challenges !!
