This was an upgrade to my old craftsman that I had for 20 years. I’m hoping it will hold up because I’m really enjoying it so far. The only negative is the packaging. The cardboard box it comes in doesn’t hold up to the weight and put some gashes in the handle through shipping.

Torin 3 Ton Low Profile Aluminum Floor Jack DIY tire rotations, oil changes, etc. just got much faster & easier! This hydraulic floor jack is a huge improvement over my auto's scissor jack. Super quick and easy to use . Gets all your car jacking needs done in a fraction of the time with far greater strength, stability and reliability! This floor jack is heavy duty and well constructed. The large size and weight are it's only drawbacks. It would be great to keep in the auto as a replacement for that scissor jack, but the size & weight make that impractical. If you are a do-it-yourself kind of person this jack is well worth the investment. 4 stars! Explaining my rating system: 5 - a superior product - I would recommend 4 - above average – a great choice 3 - average – what one might generally expect 2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative 1- horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

I really like this floor jack a lot so far.. The handles are actually on both sides of jack- which makes it very Super convenient. Considering all of my old ones have never had ANY handles on either side I would just have to pull it by whatever I could get a grip on..- not safe at all. . I’m very impressed that the back has two pumps instead of one. It quickly goes up with way less pumping. (It literally went all of the way up- with like 6 or 7½ pumps total.. that's it.. and it was completely all of way up- to its full copacity!!> which by the way- is on a WHOLE different Level of HIGH!! this jack has the ability to lift any car wayyyy higher than any single jack i have ever owned.. it literally stands completely straight upwards.. it's awesome!! I LOVE that feature!!‐ and you wont ever have to fight to fit the jack underneath the lowered cars anymore- bc this one is super low pro... it lays really super low to the ground.... almost completely flat with the ground.. that's why i was so shocked when i saw how high this thing Could Actually lift the car.. i was totally shocked after seeing it fully lifted to its max- it was so insane!!) _ One <very minor> negative aspect I have to point out- is that the jack is VERY very heavy.... I expected it to be a lot lighter than my previous jack that was made fully of all steel.. but this low profile jack literally feels more so heavier than the steel one.. It’s about four to five inches longer than our other one which is a plus..!! It’s safe. It’s sturdy. No real issues yet.... and hopefully it stays that way!! :):)

My jack arrived undamaged by the shipping companies, though lately that is hard to say it seems. The box is a minimal waste packaging design but to me that is desirable. What do we do with all of the plastic some shippers use? In my opinion the jack is designed, built and finished very nicely. Quality was excellent. This one is easier to carry than even some of my smaller all steel and cast jacks due to the mostly aluminum design. Here in the mountains we don't always have a concrete slab to work on. With the light weight design it is easy to maneuver into position considering it's load capacity. The handle is easily assembled with a retaining screw on the bottom and detent pin for the top half. The casters are decent sized and easy rolling. The dual stage pump makes it quickly get to work level then the high pressure piston takes over and makes it easy to raise the load. For myself, I am impressed. I was a head mechanic many years ago, though currently I am a self employed welder. Longevity remains to be seen and I will try to report back if I encounter any problems. It looks and seems to be very solid to me. I am happy with what I see.

With four cars in the garage and driveway, there's constantly a need to lift them. Whether it's crawling under to change the oil, inspect/replace the brakes, rotate tires or any of a myriad of other car maintenance chores, a good jack makes your life safer and easier. Of course, I would never crawl under a car without having it correctly chocked and supported by jack stands, a sturdy, well designed jack inspires confidence and makes it easier to secure the vehicle for work. With the convenient side handles, sturdy main jack handle and easy rolling wheels, this jack is easy to position under the desired jacking points. It only took 6 full pumps to have the tire off of the ground where my previous jack would take probably double that. The saddle is padded with rubber to prevent marring and is attached so that it doesn't get misplaced as my previous jack's somehow managed to disappear. The lower portion of the pump handle is covered in foam rubber to provide grip while positioning and those first pumps to bring the saddle in contact with the car body. The upper part is knurled to provide grip while making the longer strokes to raise the vehicle. The handle on my previous jack had a thin plastic grip which broke the second time I used it. It's these little things and the superb finish which makes this jack stand out from the cheaper units. My only minor complaint is that none of the labels wanted to stay attached to the jack. several were laying in the box when I opened it and others were curling while only partially attached. A little glue got them affixed more permanently. Everything about this jack makes me feel that it's going to provide many years of reliable service.

My previous detailed review has been removed so I'll just sum it up. Shipping box was in terrible condition with loose parts rolling around, received wrong product, the the Torin jack a did receive had very poor craftsmanship on it. I would recommend looking at another product.

This is the best Jack I have ever owned! I love how easy it is to use and it makes doing maintenance on my MDX way easier. I have used it a few times already. The next project is the timing belt and water pump so it’s going to have its work cut out for it when it’s time to lift the motor. So far I cannot complain. I’m crazy about it!

The Torin big red aluminum jack is made in PRC (china). Amazon shipped the jack in the factory box, which is made from thin and soft cardboard, which is easily damaged. The jack handle arrived with a couple of deep scars in the soft aluminum, which were a hazard to slicing open bare skin. The wheels are made of steel. The jack did raise and lower, but when I attempted to raise a mid-sized sedan, the jack took a strong arm to lift it to about 14 inches. For the price, the performance and polish are not there for me with this Torin product. 3 stars
