Perfect Fit and Fixed My Dryer!
Title: Perfect Fit and Fixed My Dryer! Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This rear drum insert was exactly what I needed to repair my dryer. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. Before replacing it, my dryer was making noise and the drum didn't seem to spin as smoothly. After installing the new insert, the dryer runs much quieter and works like it should again. The part feels durable and well made, and it's a much more affordable option than replacing the entire dryer. If your dryer is making scraping or grinding noises or the rear drum support is worn out, I definitely recommend replacing it with this part. It saved me money, and my dryer has been working great ever since!

Common-sense was necessary, for proper installation.
Common-sense was necessary, for the installation of the improved W10612022 Dryer Rear Drum Felt Seal. The felt seal fit nicely and the glue was easy to apply on the felt. I used clothes line clips to hold felt snug against the drum, while the glue dried twenty-four hours. I applied glue on one side, allowing it to dry 24hrs, before applying the glue to the other side. So, total dry time was forty-eight hours. I am pleased with the results. The only issue was with purchasing; is the felt comparable to "Original Equipment Manufacturer"-OEM. Since I'm not a professional and it was my very first felt replacement, I am not familiar with its quality or endurance. However, I am satisfied with the installation and believe it to be durable enough to satisfy the best of wives. An easy 'HoneyDew'. Check photos for proper installation. Note: black strip goes on outside of drum. Ciao Ciao!

Doable repair but challenging.
The seal is improved in the material used. It is a woven fabric rather than the original felt and should be more durable. I needed to replace the original seal when the bottom drum roller came apart and caused the drum to rotate way off center. The rollers use a self lubricated bushing which lasts about two years in my experience (high usage in my household). There are no instructions provided (hence the 4 stars only). There are multiple videos on YouTube which detail the installation. Watch more than one since they differ somewhat and can provide useful hints. The new seal must be stretched onto the drum lip and held in place while initial forming and during glueing. Spring loaded clothes pins every one or two inches in circumference worked for me. That is dozens of pins. The glue is low viscosity probably to ensure it wicks into the fabric. That means it is runny and you need to wipe up drips in the roller groove as you go. Take off a few pins, peel the seal back away from the lip on the outside for about 6 inches in length and carefully apply a generous amount of the glue and put back in place. Repeat sequentially around the circumference. There is ample glue provided. Provide lots of ventilation since the glue will have your head flying. I gave it the full 24 hours of drying recommended before I removed the pins and reassembled the dryer. The new seal is stiffer than the original so it will require a bit more pressure to get the dryer back together. Rotate the drum by hand to be sure that the seal is both outside the drum and seated inside. Overall, if you've ever repaired a dryer before this is doable. If you had a repairman do this I'd expect this would cost half the price of a new dryer when including rollers and service call charges.

Works fine
Works fine. Comes with rubber cement glue. Get yourself 36 clothes pins to hold in place for the install!

Just buy the oem part and skip this
I have a 2008 era Kenmore 500 that’s recently been leaving rust marks on clothes, where the drum has been letting clothes slip between the drum and back wall pinching them and leaving marks. I simultaneously replaced rollers, belt, and tensioner. I’m pretty frustrated bc I wasted probably an hour removing old glue and gluing this rear felt seal onto the drum. This POS is half the thickness of the 18 year old worn out felt I threw away. The drum isn’t sealed and I can see a much bigger gap than with the worn out felt. It’s possible, but unlikely the other parts I changed are causing the gap to be bigger. Advice: skip this and get the oem part. I’d return this if I could. Now I get to do it all over again after buying the right part. Hopefully it somewhat works until next week.

Great item, saved lots of money
Fit great, easy to install we held it in place with clothes pins until the glue dried. A lot cheaper than buying a new dryer

Easy to install and great value
Dryer felt was a great fit and easy to install. I found a trick to make it much easier. Put the felt on without the glue and put 4 binder clips at 12, 3, 6 & 9 to hold it in place. Then glue it down and use clothespins to hold it down to get a nice seal with the glue and remove the binders as you go along. I used a bunch probably 50 or 60 I believe but it was worth it. When I took the clothespins off after letting it sit for several hours and the seal was rock solid. Most videos I viewed the glue was a dark red color with a thin tip applicator. This was like a cloudy off white color and with no applicator and you just have to take your time to not get glue everywhere. Also nitrile gloves with help too. Great value as well.

Fun job!!
Dude, this was not an easy task. You need at least two people or one really patient person. You also need 1000 clothes pins to complete this job. The item worked great for the project just be prepared for a lot of swear words instructions were clear it’s doing its job it’s functional. This was a replacement piece because our dryer broke and we needed to fix it. worst 2 months ever.
