Granger's 2-in-1 Cleaner and Proofer - Black, 1 Litres

Washed my snowboard outer wear with this after time on the slopes. No weird residue after washing and only time will tell if waterproofing has been maintained. Happy with the results so far though .

My Jack Wolfskin coat had become porous. Which is a shame because the coat itself is well made and had remained in good condition. So I tried Grangers and it seems to work very well – it's easy to use and just requires a run in the washing machine and then a cool tumble dry. And now the water just beads and falls off like it did when the coat was new. You get quite a lot for your money – a 1l sachet and as you only use 100ml per wash there seem to be several years’ worth here. I suppose the only issue is how long it will last. But I suppose I can reproof as necessary.

Keeps my Sprayway all day rainpants and my Paramo jacket clean and waterproof. Expensive though.

Used this on my Mountain Equipment Ogre jacket - I was a bit concerned about activating it afterwards but a short tumble dry session did the trick. It came out like new again and the water is balling off of it. Only thing is it didn't get the bike grease out of the sleeve, which is a shame. I was sort of hoping it might do a better job at the cleaning portion of it! Will definitely be using it again though - think it's loads better than Nikwax, as it doesn't leave any kind of residue on the surface. Also worth noting that when it was shipped to me, the bottle was crammed into a tiny box meaning it had been dropped and the lid had smashed. I contacted them about this and they instantly sent out a new lid in the post so that I can store it without worrying it's going to tip over in the cupboard. Thank you for sorting the problem so quickly and willingly!

Used to wash/proof an insulated waterproof coat that was starting to absorb rain and become heavy after more than an hour's rain exposure. Seems to have worked well. I dried the coat on a low tumble drier heat setting as advised as the coat label recommended this too. I think this particular coat probably needs an external spray proofing application to restore it to like new performance, but I am very impressed with this Grangers product purely from an ease of use/efficacy perspective. It seems to have worked better than another well known brand I tried. Environmentally friendly squashy bottle format works well too.

I have used several brands of cleaners of reproofers and many of them were good. Grangers is one of the better ones it cleans muddy outdoors gear beautifully and reproofs very well. It is also good value for money and has the advantage of being a 2 in 1 product, meaning that everything can be done in one wash and dry cycle, therefore saving time and water.

Simply the best solution on the market for cleaning and reproofing your waterproof breathable garments, does exactly what is described in the sales pitch, just wash in and either tumble dry to activate (if garment wash instructions allow it) or use a hair dryer once out of the machine to heat treat the garment and activate the waterproofing. If you're like me and you are always outdoors regardless of the weather you probably have a lot of waterproof breathable gear, if so buy it by the litre as i do our you are going to be needing more than one of the 300ml bottles just to do one wash as the usage instructions advise the first garment you treat you should use 100ml and then 50ml extra for each extra garment, i do mine all in one go and use 500ml so I get 2 full treatments for all my waterproof gear per bottle, thankfully each treatment gives a waterproof treatment that lasts a good while and when the garments just needs cleaned you can wash in regular detergent and not remove the proofing, then as the waterproofing is reduced you retreat all your waterproofs again

Ordered: 22 September Arrived: 26 September Expected: Grangers 2 in 1 Cleaner & Proofer, 1 lt Actual: Grangers 2 in 1 Cleaner & Proofer, 1 lt - First test was washing & drying a bubble jacket that (because of its age) now wets out. seems to have worked successfully. - Second was a karrimor jacket that partially wets out. Does not seem to have worked was it the water wash that restored the waterproof of the first jacket? or the proofer? Cannot comment on how well it cleans as I didnt buy it for that reason.

...um die hochwertigen ISBJÖRN-Klamotten unserer Waldkindergartenkinder schonend zu waschen und auch direkt zu imprägnieren, nehmen wir - auch für unsere Reitregenjacken etc. nur Grangers. Leichtes Trocknen im Trockner sollten die Sachen dürfen. Aber sobald sie etwas hochwertiger sind, dürfen sie es. Wir verkaufen alle Kindersachen weiter - alles noch superdicht + sauber. Toll!

I've used this product on several jackets and sets of ski pants. The 300ml bottle only gets you 6 capfuls, which only gets you about 3 two-jacket laundry loads if I remember correctly. The 1L bottle being a little more that 3 times the size was a much better buy for post-winter gear clean up for a small family. I was able to get everyones outwear cleaned up and re-waterproofed with plenty to spare

Die 2 Schritte in einem funktionieren wirklich und sparen dadurch läßtiges aufsprühen der Imprägnierung, allerdings ist es unerlässlich die Kleidungsstücke im Trockner (meine Erfahrung bei 50-60 °C zu trocknen) damit die Imprägnierung "aktiviert" wird.

J'ai testé le produit, voici les résultats sur une machine réalisée avec 10 vêtements dont vestes soft Shell, pantalon technique, pantalon non technique... Les vêtements sont propres (lavés au prealable) Dosage 300ml la machine (légèrement surdosé, je mettrais moins la prochaine fois 250ml), 30 deg, essorage 800 tours, séchage sans sèche linge ni exposition UV. Les vêtements ont retrouvé la deperlance. Les pantalons non technique donc non prévus à cet effet sont deperlants mais ça va pas durer. La veste qui avait totalement perdue l'effet est presque comme neuve. Conclusion : ça vaut le coup pour redonner une jeunesse aux vêtements.
