Salomon Men's X Ultra Pioneer Climasalomon Waterproof Hiking Shoe

I like a pair of everything shoes. These fit the bill! I use them daily for my occupation as a handyman. After six months, they have not pulled a single stitch or had any delamination of the soles. This is the first pair of shoes I have had in over 10 years that when the laces broke I didn't just go buy another pair of shoes. Yes, most of them are that bad. I've worn Merrill, Keen, Red Wing, Chippewa, you name it. The soles are actually wearing out before the shoe falls apart! Yes, they are a bit narrow. I always throw out the factory insoles no matter the brand. Aftermarket insoles are always worth it. Every time I strap these shoes on, I get Happy Feet.

These are incredible shoes for the price. They are a decent weight for trail hiking shoes, the waterproofing has been put to the test on multiple occasions and worked wonderfully, the tread almost looks like car tire tread so you don't have to worry about slips or falls, and the inners are very comfortable. The only major downside I've seen is if you have wider feet. These do fit true to size length wise, but aren't great for wider feet. You'll have to size up half a size to make them comfortable width wise and deal with the extended toe box. If that isn't an issue for you these are an absolute must add to your footwear rotation.

This is my 3rd pair. I wear these to work and for just about everything. They hold up well (about 1 year) and I believe them to be well worth the money. I’ve hiked Yosemite, Grand Canyon (both rims), Bryce Canyon, and Zion using these shoes. They are very light, waterproof, and have excellent traction. I usually replace about halfway through tread life when I am going to hike in dangerous places (I’m not a fan of great heights or cliffs, but these give me confidence). I have high arches, so it may not work for everyone as well as they have worked for me. I will say I mentor a now 18 year old man with size 14 flat feet. I got him a set for our Grand Canyon trip and he loved them. He was sure footed and the break-in was quick. Highly recommend.

Great shoe. Tight at first but quickly conforms and fits very comfortably. Lightweight but solid and durable. Heel cup can be a little loose but even with slippage still feels secure. Waterproof so they don’t breathe well (as expected); feet/socks get wet from the inside due to perspiration. Traction is impressive on most surfaces, moisture can be an issue on some (as with most outsoles). Last pair lasted over two years daily wear before sole separation became an issue. Will definitely purchase again if have the option.

Tried a few retail hiking shoes that looked the part -but fell apart on the trail when performance mattered most. I ordered my first pair of Salomon X Ultra in 2020 where I put a few hundred trail miles on them. Sand, dirt, gravel, and looong stretches of jagged river rock, dry or wet no matter - these shoes handle with ease. These are so good It could give you a false sense of security, so use the traction to your advantage and don't take it for granted. Few cons: -Standard 20th century laces. Models with 'speed laces' are preferred -Not the shoes to step in dog crap with. Extra knobby traction. You'll be cleaning for a while -Like many goods available today, they will eventually break down. The seems around the shoe will separate as will the rubber sole from the shoe

My beloved Lowas are getting old, so I went looking for a replacement for them after three years of good service. Unfortunately the East Bloc-made Lowas have become really pricey. So I decided to try these Indian-made Salomons. So far, I'm very satisfied. They are supportive and comfortable. They resist my natural tendency to pronate very well. My feet and lower back are happy after several long days of standing and walking. Grip seems good. This model is water-resistant (note some other Salomons that look similar are not). Breathability is good. So far the grip has been good too. All in all, I'm happy to have them.

Great shoes for hiking

Pretty disappointed, paid for a good waterproof pair of shoes. If you buy these, don't wear in the rain. I contacted Solomon for warranty but won't hold my breath, in the mean time they are fair weather shoes at best. Stay off the wet grass too. Update: The Solomon website states the shoes have a 2 year warranty and you need to provide via email 5 pictures of the shoes and purchase info and after that they referred me to Zappos for warranty for the first year. Solomon provided no links or info for Zappos. Contacted Solomon customer service, they did not have any contact info for Zappos. Bottom line warranty listed on Solomon website is a full service lie. Edit: it was a Hassel but I did get warranty satisfaction. It was a Hassel and Solomon CS reps were misleading. I was not getting anywhere until I asked for a manager. Everyone should do this because we pay too much for these really crappy Solomon products. Bought these Solomon shoes 26 May 2022, put them away last fall and got them out a month ago. Now the sole is coming off the left shoe. NEVER BUYING SOLOMON SHOES AGAIN.

My second pair of Salomon shoes, but won’t be my last. Light, supportive, great fit and supremely comfortable for walking or hiking long distances. I’ve walked 25km or more in these many times and always felt fresh with no discomfort at the end. They are the best!

Io ho il 48 e veste bene. Scarpa robusta e ben fatta non è in goratex ma c'è qualcosa di simile dentro. Avevo un modello simile che ha macinato tanti chilometri. Questa è leggermente diversa ma di buona fattura.Soldi spesi bene.
