A water fountain has been something I’ve been wanting to try for the longest time! - It’s definitely a good idea for active dogs (we have a border collie who loves to run!) - I looked up some tricks on how to get them into using it and start by giving treats anytime they interact with it, then do treats and happy praise whenever they touch their foot onto the pedal and then if they step on it fully give them a lot of treats and a lot of praise! Totally helps if you’re getting them to see it in action when they’re really thirsty so we have it set up (using a splitter for the hose connection) right next to the door for when we come back from exercise! - Took a bit but totally cool once they get the hang of using it! - 9.8/10

This product is not quality. The little knob thing that adjusts the pressure of the spray is impossible to turn. Only a tiny little flow of water comes out. Don’t waste your money.

The media could not be loaded.  When I purchased this, I assumed it was a high pressure water toy for my dogs. They love it when I hold a high pressure hose so they can bite the water, this had very little pressure. Actually, it’s partially my fault because it says in the name, water fountain, but it was with the water toys for dogs. that’s why I gave it three stars for poor performance instead of zero or five. I guess this would be great if I wanted to leave my hose attached to it, but they have a water bowl that refills itself so I don’t want that. Instead, I guess I’ll get another yard sprinkler since they chewed up the one I have.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered this for my 6 dogs to use during the Summer months. There is a definite learning curve for them, but some breeds are always smarter than others.This is a cool self-watering device. The concept is that the dog figures out that stepping on the pedal provides water. Depending on your pressure, this could shoot like a geyser or just a trickle.The kit comes with everything you need to extend a current garden hose setup for parallel usage. See my pics for the full contents.This is an ok product. Only one of my dogs have figure it out. The rest just go inside through the doggy door to get water from the trough.

This was a really fun summer toy for my dog! the box says something about helping dogs stay hydrated, that's not really what this is for a puppy like mine, it's just pure adrenaline and joy

This unfortunately didn't work as well for us as I had hoped. I don't know why, but the pressure wasn't quite strong enough, and it came out instead as a trickle. My dog who loves water more than anything seemed a little bummed. He seemed to know, likely from our eagerness to set it up for him, that it was supposed to be something fun. But then it fizzled out when all we got was a drinking fountain trickle from it.

Setup is simple but your mileage may vary when it comes to performance. Our product produced a stream of water that was 2 inches tall with the high-pressure setting and nozzle attached. No fun for our dog.
