Great wheels
I have 2 samsonite suitcases where the wheels had disintegrated. These wheels were competitively priced and came with 2 different sized axles and washers. These fitted perfectly and were easy to install. I needed to drill out the rivets holding the wheels housing to get access to remove the damaged ones. They spin well and I’m pleased with the quality, though I can’t comment on their longevity.

Easy to fit
These were very easy to fit. They come with 2 sets of central pins, so double check and exclude the ones that you won't be using during your installation.I used the longer length pins as they reached right through the start to the end of the bracket so there was no pressure from the wheel onto the bolt being screwed in.Taking the old one was the difficult one. I tried to hacksaw them out but eventually gave up and then went to drilling the rivet heads off and then some more.I then hammered the old rivet pin out with the help of a large 6 inch nail. 2 worked fine but the other 2 were a pain and then retorted back to the hacksaw by using a large flat screwdriver under the old wheel, twisted the wheel sideways as one side the wheel was off but refused to move out the other end.Wedging the screwdriver in sideways forced the wheel to stop the pin from turning whilst hacking it off, plus it gave me a few more mm gap to get the 2 mm hacksaw blade in the gap.About 30 to 40 strokes and it was off. Most difficult was removing the old wheel, installing the new was a doddle. Make sure you apply some thread lock glue to stop the bolt coming off.Once on, the wheels rotate really clean as it has an internal bearing. very smooth and very quiet.

Good set of wheels
I have a 10 year old suitcase with wheels that have been absolutely perished and had seen much better days.Changing these was a little difficult with a hacksaw and I gave up after 15 mins of sawing so opted to drill these out.A little tip when drilling these out. Make sure you get a drill bit that is built for drilling metal and is as close as possible to the size of the rivet that is being drilled out.If you get a smaller bit then there will be chances that the rivet will not drill out and will end up spinning with the drill bit and you'll have to use a hacksaw. Also, find something to prop the wheel up.I used a pair of pliers as seen in the image. This ensures that the wheel is secure and not prone to wobble and less risk of you causing any damage.Apply a good level of pressure and the top collar of the rivet will be clawed out and then go full speed with a bit more pressure for about 60 seconds. Then get a thin nail or screwdriver, making sure the underside of the wheel is supported like in my image with a set of pliers or something and slowly tap the rivet pin-out.It will slowly pop out and then you can pull this out at the other end.Give it all a good clean. Make sure you have gloves on as I didn't and spent the next 40 mins with a pair of tweezers trying to pluck a metal splinter out of my pinky.Next, clean all of it up again, and then pick the right length axle. I picked the long axle for mine which literally stayed propped up from one side to the other. This made sure that there isn't any pressure on the castor flanges. Before I threaded the axle and screw-bolt in, I applied some super-glue into the threads, just to make sure they don't unscrew out. The worst thing that can happen to you is the wheel popping off when you're travelling from one terminal to another. When tightening with the pair of supplied Allen keys, I did apply a lot of pressure and torque, and the heads did not frey or buckle so a good set of heads too.I was quite pleased with myself as I don't do much DIY but decided to give my suitcases a new lease of life and they look like they can now do a few hundred miles more. These are a good set of wheels and am glad they exist and that too with all the bits needed.I almost forgot to say that it doesn't matter if you did overtighten. The wheels have a central axle which is built with a bearing around it with the outer wheel that sits on it so you'll only be tightening on the central axle with a full free-wheeling wheel with no friction.

Fitted easily
Good sturdy wheels. Just drilled out the old rivets and fitted new ones easily with new bolt axles. Good to have adjustable sizes. Would recommend for the price.

Saved my luggage from the landfill.
Perfect. I replaced a poorly designed wheel with something that has bearings. The material of the wheel is softer and makes less noise when being pulled around the city.Samsonite’s warranty solution was to ship me all new luggage rather than offer or sell a wheel assembly. I searched for months everywhere… and I finally found what I needed… new wheels and axles. The hard plastic wheels that had to be cut out didn't have bearings… which under pressure, would melt the wheel and housing. So happy this exists, as I dislike throwing things away that could be repaired.
