Apart from using this monitor with my camera, could i also use it as a display for my macbook via hdmi cable, or does it only work with cameras?

HDMI feed should work fine - I have 2 F570s. These will take a 4K signal and downscale to 1080p or 1920x1080 its native resolution. Dont know the res of Macbooks but I have connected it to my 4K laptop without any issues.

No, this does the basics with false color, peaking, etc. That's it.

What size is the hdmi input? also what are the hdmi sizes on both ends of the cable included. e.g micro, mini or standard
