I roast my own beans (try it!) and wanted to use them in the Nespresso I have at my work location. I thought these would be a compromise but they actually let you put out pretty good coffee - Better than the pods you can buy for sure, and for pennies on the dollar. The stainless steel looks great too. Fit my classic machine fine and no leakage problems with the sticky lids. Steel is thick and durable and should last for a long time. As far as money savings, If you figure you can get about +/- 50 single shots out of a lb of beans, at $5.50 per lb of beans that's 11 cents per shot vs 90 cents for the pods on sale. Not bad!

These pods have worked flawlessly in my nespresso machine for over a year now. Anyone complaining that the pods ruin the quality of coffee either don't tamp correctly or don't use the correct grind size to fill their pods. It may take some experimenting to find the right grind size and tamping for filling your pods, but once you get it correct, the expresso brews perfectly (there's also videos out there that teach you tips to get the right grind and tamp when filling your own pods). They're easy to clean and the black silicone rings come off and pop back on so that everything is 100% clean. They haven't damaged my machine whatsoever, fit like a normal pod, and the foil seals pop off easily as long as you let the pods cool completely. Overall, these work really well and I'd repurchase if I ever lose them or need more!
