642 Tiny Things to Draw: (drawing for Kids, Drawing Books, How to Draw Books)

Bought one for myself and then quickly ended up buying another for my daughter and then one for my mum. The ideas are good and clearly don’t take themselves too seriously so you don’t feel under pressure to create genuine works of art - handy as I’m not a great drawer these days. Some of the pages are quite American so I have to translate for my daughter, but that’s not the end of the world. Because quite a few of the prompts are either abstract or rely on context it’s created quite a few discussions with my 7yo which I hadn’t expected - handy learning tool which she has engaged really well with. I’ve been happily sat alone doing a few pages though - it’s just good fun! Pages are thick enough that isn’t bleeding through.

I bought this for my friend who is having treatment for cancer . She took it with her when she was having chemotherapy. Lots of little suggestions of things to draw. She says it’s a godsend , and keeps her sane. It’s a lovely little book, so nice I got on for myself 😃

Bought this for my partner and got one for myself and we use them both very differently. She likes the basic level of flicking through pages till she finds something she wants to draw and then enjoys drawing what she has chosen. I prefer the challenge of being instructed to draw what ever is required on each sequential page and I'm gradually completing the book without any prefferential choices. Some can be quick and effortless doodles, which you can bash out in a minute. Some can involve creative or detailed thought which can provide much required distraction from anyones chaotic world.

This is mildly interesting but also quite absurd. Some of the things it tells you to draw are just weird! However it's a good boredom breaker and would be quite entertaining for a long journey. Definately allows you to practice your drawing skills and provides a starting point by telling you what you should draw. Much smaller than we thought. My daughter loves drawing and we thought she would love this but it wasn’t for her. Marked as 3 star as whilst this may be personal choice it want what any of us thought it would be.

Leuk boekje met leuke ideeen. Fijn voor als je inspiratie nodig hebt. Het papier is wel heel dun.

Il est un peu petit, le papier est un peu fin. Bref c'est sympa pour un truc tout fait, mais sans plus.
