This back seat extender has a very sturdy bottom and was so easy to install. My very large German Shepard was the most comfortable she’s ever been during the car ride. I realized that with her previous car seat that did not have a seat extender, she’d whimper during the car ride. We thought this was from her excitement, but I realized when we were in a friend’s car with an even smaller seat, it’s just bc she did not feel supported. I also like that the sides are hooked up on the handle hooks so it actually prevents her from trying to step up or lean on the arm rests, and it also prevents her from leaning too far out the window (bonus points bc less slobber on my windows while up). Very happy with this purchase and will probably get another for my husband’s car!

We are very impressed with this product. It is well made. It fit in the backseat of our SUV. We took a 12 hour car ride to the mountains and back, and I must say, our dog was very comfortable. We have a Golden Retriever who is 75-pounds. She was able to sit, lay down and stretch out, as if she was in her own bed. She was not confined at all. The best part is that it covers the whole backseat area up to the front seats. So if the car turns, or stops short, our dog did not fall between the rear and front seats onto the floor. The only thing we did was, we put bath towels on top to give it more cushion, and so her hair wouldn't stick to it. This is the best thing since sliced bread for our dog!

The dog seat cover is excellent and easy to install. Love the hard panels as it keeps my 70 lb dog from sinking in to the floor area giving him more room to spread out. Also the front back and side panels protect the entire area. Very well designed and made. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it says non-slip but my dog does slide when lying down and when taking corners. Not a huge issue for us. I would buy this again.

We have an older dog who almost always goes in the car with us when the outside temps are cool enough. With a conventional seat protector, he often ends up in front of the seat and kind of trapped in the gap. This seat protector stops that. We like it enough we bought three, and then a fourth for a spare.
