I found the strap was too thick so felt I was sleeping on a bump and when laying on my side the side of the mask was digging into my face, great for keeping the light out but not comfortable to sleep in at all so waste of money for me :(

Sleep masks are becoming more popular than ever whether for home sleeping or travelling, and as such you can find a wide variety of styles to fit most needs.This one by Lonfrote is the largest I've ever come across and not just large but bulky and stiff with it. It's a chunkier mask with a lot of internal padding and eye cutouts for comfort, but whether because it's brand new or the design, but I personally found it really uncomfortable to wear.Firstly, despite the standard velcro straps, it felt like unless I made it uncomfortably tight, the mask kept slipping up or down especially but also sometimes sideways, if I tried to sleep sideways because the side portions stuck out as opposed to contour wrapping. So that in itself kept waking me initially. I couldn't help feeling the mask isn't made for female faces but note other presumably female reviewers have said it was ok for them, so maybe just me.I don't find the normal ones annoying my eyes to any extent when sleeping but then I'm maybe fortunate in that I sleep fairly well and maybe only using masks at home makes a difference to travelling, but I'd imagine if you used this while turning your head sideways to sleep on a bus or plane it might be slightly easier as you wouldn't have a pillow for the mask to push against.It may suit some but just be aware of the possible issues when deciding.

I was attracted by the mention of memory foam and It is soft, however, this is huge and the only thing I would recommend it for is travel because it’s very good at cutting out all the light. This is because it’s 10 inches long by 4 ¼ inches in depth, and it has quite a substantial nose guard so it really is dark when you put it on. The other advantage is that, because the memory foam is raised on the inside, it does keep the guard right off your eyes.However, there is thick Velcro on the back which digs into the back of my head a bit. I will clarify that there is to ‘buckle’ fixing as stated. This is Velcro.I can’t wear this in bed and rollover because it’s too bulky for a side-sleeper. It’s really more like wearing a VR headset. But, if you are looking for something heavy duty to cut out a lot of light in transit, or for a hospital stay, then this could be an option. I just wouldn’t choose it for your everyday sleep mask.

Pros- it does completely block out light. I suffer from migraines and it is surprisingly hard to find masks that don't let in so much as a chink of light.- the strap is comfortable. You can adjust the length and the strap is also quite wide which distributes the pressure and means it doesn't feel like the strap is digging into your head.Cons- the mask just isn't very comfortable. The fabric is very stiff especially the part that covers your eyes. I found that it didn't want to really curve around my face and ended up feeling very bulky once it was in place. I definitely was not going to forget I was wearing it. I hope it might soften up with wear as it is otherwise a good quality mask. I do have quite a small face and I wonder if this is the issue. Maybe if someone with a broader face used this the mask would not have to curve so much?

This mask is better than most in that it has a raised area to go around your eyes so that the pressure isn't all on your eyeballs. This makes for much more comfortable sleep when adjusted correctly via the velcro head strap.It blocks out around 90% of light, no mask will get rid of all of it though. Wearing for extended periods is fine, although if you have a smaller head you may find it completely drowns out your face. Because of the padded area that raises it away from your face it can get warm to wear though.The fabric is ok, it's not the softest but at the same time isn't scratchy. For the price it's a mid-range product, there are better out there but you can't really go wrong here.

This is very comfortable and rests on your face easily. Can be a little warm but great in a cold room or weather while travelling in a brightly lit space. It comes with a pair of earplugs as well! So you can also use them at home to get a good night's sleep. It is useful for meditation as well or if you just want to block out noise and light for a while. It washes and dries quickly. The shape means it is very comfortable across the eye area and it is large enough for any adult. Good design, very good quality and value. Very pleased with this.

This eye mask is very gentle on the face and easy to wear. Its rear fastening Velcro strap is also soft on the head and will not disturb you. Most eye masks give a good blackout effect, but this is absolute - I can see no light at all when I wear this in daylight. In fact the additional pair of earplugs that are with it make this a great daytime sleeping kit, or perhaps good on an aeroplane too!This is an excellent eye mask, and if you are very fussy about the amount of light you might be able to under extreme conditions. then this is the automatic choice for you, Great value - in fact a great mask or sleeping kit.
