I love this scooter!
*Firstly I want to talk about the delivery. Amazon, you need to get it together. I was told it would be delivered Thursday before 10pm, fine, whatever. I am not working Thursday so I’ll just stay home all day and wait for the notification. Then I got an email that it was going to be delivered a day early (Wednesday) which normally would be awesome but they required me to meet the carrier to exchange a password for the package. I work Wednesday at 2p so I called Amazon to ask if I could get a more narrow time frame so I can plan around it. I was told they don’t know when it will be delivered. 30 minutes after my call I got a notification it would be delivered between 11a - 3p. Why not just tell me that? I was able to sign for the package but was a bit late to work for it.* The bike itself is really great. For reference I am 280 lbs, 5’9” and I got the 500w 25 mile version of this product. Starting with the unboxing, it came very well packaged and took maybe 30 minutes to put together. It’s very self explanatory with minimal experience. The seat is adjustable, the shocks are adjustable and the handle is adjustable to an extend. It comes with a charger, bell, 2 keys, and a basket to affix to the scooter. I do highly highly highly recommend getting a cupholder, phone holder, and at least one rear view mirror to add to the bike, it will make your ride much more enjoyable. The scooter is pretty comfortable. They advertise the seat being really padded making long rides more bearable. It’s alright, not as comfy as I thought it’d be. The seat does also have some springs to make your ride smoother, however I do sometimes feel like I am going to fall off the back of the scooter due to the springs compressing. The lack of suspension in the front is noticeable but once you get riding you get used to it. Something that isn’t really talked about is the gear mechanism. It has 3 gears, “A” (gear 0), “1” (gear 1), $ “2” (gear 2). When you turn on the bike it automatically is in “A”. The motor will not move the bike. It’s essentially in neutral. “1” is a slow speed, while in this gear I can get up to 15.7 mph on a flat road, 10.3 mph going uphill. “2” is full power, in this gear I am able to reach the bikes max speed of 20 mph going on a flat road, 13.5 mph uphill. I am really impressed with the performance of this scooter. The battery indicator is not very accurate. I ride under a mile to work everyday. The indicator drops very quickly when in “2” but pops back up when I come to a stop. It’s more of a “current use” indicator than a “remaining life” indicator. The lights are EXTREMELY bright for something this size. They do take some adjusting out of the box as mine came with the headlight facing the wheel below it but once they’re adjusted the work very well. The rear light does flash as you brake. Overall a great bike for the price, I 100% recommend this for anyone looking for a neat scooter to ride to work, around campus, or through a city. Edit: I still love this scooter however after stress testing it, I am only able to get about 10 ish miles on a full charge when fully using gear 2. I’m sure if you rationed the battery, keeping it in gear 1, it’d last longer but I’m a bit disappointed as I was expecting it to last much longer.

First time in a LOOOG time I got more than I expected!
I just got my Gotrax Ultra 500w. It is amazing. First off assembly was real simple. It charged for the first time a lot quicker than they said it would. I have seen reviews that said there was no key. Well the December 2023 model came with two keys. If you are like me and have never ridden a motorcycle or a power scooter let me first say this takes a bit of getting used to. It has two speeds, gears, and it is quick. I definitely recommend a helmet. It is built like a tank! Build quality is superb! If you are worried about going up hills like other scooters in reviews here, put your fears aside. Unless you weigh a lot this thing goes up hills like nobodies business! Outside of my complex is a pretty steep hill, not sure what the grade is but if you walk it you lean into it. This thing went up it and actually GAINED speed. Today I rode it for ten miles. The display has five bars when fully charged and at the end of the ride there was still four left. So I can easily believe that it would go at least 20 miles on a charge. As for speed. Like I said I am new to this but I have got it up to 18 mph and there was power to spare. So I am certain that it can do the 25 that the company advertises. The display is nice. It will tell you speed in mph/kph, distance traveled, what "gear" you are in and batter consumption. You do have to adjust the angle of it so you can read it clearly. The basket is nice. No, you are not going to get a week's worth of groceries in it... but it is not designed for that. I honestly do not see how this is not best in class as far as seated scooters go. If you are looking at buying one go for the ULTRA at 500 w motor. It is about a hundred dollars more but well worth it. Like I said this is the first one I have owned but I can't imagine any other companies being better. Especially at this price point. Oh, the ride is very good. Duel shock absorbers really do this trick. I bought a nice green reflective triangle for mine and it hangs off the basket for added safety. It is a nice touch. Well that's about it. If you are thinking of buying an electric scooter, don't hesitate, I truly believe this is the one to have.

I’ve been using this Gotrax electric scooter for a little while now and I really like it! It’s easy to ride, super comfortable thanks to the seat, and the big tires make the ride feel smooth even on bumpy streets. The speed is just right — not too fast, not too slow — and the battery lasts enough for me to run errands or go around town without worrying. I also love the little basket in the back, it's perfect for carrying a bag or groceries. It feels strong and well made, and I didn’t have any trouble putting it together. If you're looking for a fun and practical way to get around, I definitely recommend it!

Disappointing Experience: Great Scooter until it breaks, Terrible Customer Service”
Update! July 5th 2025 The go tracks Amazon after sales team reached out after I made this review and they sent me a replacement no problem! The scooter is really good. I just can’t believe that it was so hard to get them to honor their warranty now that I have the scooter and we’re up and running again. Everything’s great. We’ll see how long it lasts this time and I’ll update if it fails again! I bought this scooter for my wife to use for commuting a short distance to work. It worked great for about six months, but then it suddenly stopped turning on. Despite doing thorough research and choosing a reputable brand, we’ve had a frustrating experience with customer support. We’re still within the three-year warranty, but instead of sending a replacement scooter, they keep sending parts for us to install ourselves. We’ve already replaced the display and throttle, but that wasn’t the issue, and now they want us to replace the battery. We’ve been without the scooter for over a month, and the process has been time-consuming and inconvenient. Even Amazon, usually helpful, won’t intervene. I can’t recommend this product due to poor customer service and ongoing issues.

Works Great Even for a Bigger Rider
I’ve been really happy with this scooter so far. I’m a bigger guy weight wise, so I was a little unsure how well it would handle me, but it worked amazingly. It feels solid when riding and does not feel weak or shaky under me. The frame feels sturdy, the deck has a decent amount of room, and the seat is actually pretty comfortable for longer rides around the neighborhood or quick trips nearby. The basket on the back is one of my favorite parts. It is really useful for carrying small stuff like a backpack, groceries, tools, or whatever else you do not want to hold while riding. The seat and basket setup make it feel more practical than a regular standing scooter. It is nice being able to sit down and ride instead of standing the whole time. The power has been better than I expected. It takes off smoothly and has enough pull to get moving without feeling like it is struggling. I would not expect it to act like a motorcycle or anything, but for a scooter like this it has been plenty strong for me. The tires feel stable and the ride is pretty comfortable, even on less perfect pavement. One thing that really surprised me is the battery. I stored it over winter in a small shed and the battery still held up really well. I expected it to be drained or have issues after sitting for a while, but it was still good when I went back to use it. That gave me a lot more confidence in it because batteries can be hit or miss with stuff like this. Setup was not too bad, but like most scooters, you do want to check everything over before riding. Make sure the brakes, handlebar, seat, and bolts are all adjusted and tightened. It is also a little bulky, so it is not something I would want to carry around much. The basket and seat make it more useful, but they also make it take up more space. Overall, this has been a great scooter for me. It feels strong, rides well, and has handled my weight better than I expected. The battery holding up over winter was a big plus too. For someone wanting a seated scooter with some storage and a solid ride, I think this one is a really good pick.

Great first impressions
FINAL UPDATE 12/17/2024: All I have to say at this point, is if you take care of this scooter, it takes care of you. I learned how to get my hands dirty doing basic repairs, maintenance, etc. and this scooter keeps scooting on. The only thing I wish was better about this scooter is the battery. If the battery was longer lasting, this scooter would be an amazing competitor to commuter scooting. Also inclines really kill speed and eats up battery really fast. Personally I'm saving up for a fat tire e-bike with a better battery and faster speeds, hill climbing ability, etc. as I live in a place where fat tires thrive. Despite this scooter having a somewhat fat tire, it's not fat enough for the best traction. Hope my reviews and updates have informed you guys enough to decide whether or not this scooter is best for you. Flat tire/wiring experience update: It happens to the best of us. A small piece of glass penetrated my tire, into the inner tube and caused a flat. If there's one majorly bad thing with Gotrax, is a lack of footage covering basic repairs on a lot of their scooter models, so I had to learn how to take the rear wheel off myself to patch the inner tube. Taking the wheel off was a pretty straight forward process. Remove some screws, nuts, unplug power wire, etc. and the wheel comes off easily (you'll need an adjustable or socket wrench about 18mm, an Allen wrench set, and screw driver) . The tire however was a nightmare to take off as it was really tough. Fast forward after I patch the tube and assemble the wheel back, I try to ride but the power wire yanked and plugged out a yellow, green and blue cord inside the battery storage. This caused the wheels to stop responding, but the solution was to simply open the battery storage underneath the scooter, plug the colored cords into the matching slot, and viola the scooter is fixed. The whole experience was extremely frustrating because of the lack of resources to assist in basic repairs, but it is pretty simple once you know what you're doing. 2 month update: I ride this thing 8 miles total per day, 5 days a week. I’ve racked up approximately 320 miles total so far, and it’s still holding up well. The only recurring issue is the throttle. It seems while I’m riding in neighborhoods where I have to stop at stop signs often, the throttle will have an issue that slows down the scooter’s speed. This is typically an easy fix if you stop for a few seconds and restart the scooter. But to avoid this issue I’ve adapted my riding style in neighborhoods by switching from 20mph mode to 15, which seems to have mostly fixed the issue. Overall, after two months and hundreds of miles, I’d say this is a great buy for casual riding. Even on my bad days, it’s always fun riding on the scooter and even something to look forward to. Great casual scooter. Original review: Let me start off by saying that I’m 6’2 and about 250-260 pounds give or take. This scooter holds me up quite well, much better than I expected. My size only becomes an issue going up inclines. I can tolerate the speed drop off from light to moderate inclines, otherwise I just hop off and walk up until the roads are more leveled. On flat roads I can go up to 20 mph. Battery life seems to be doing great so far, but I’ve only ridden about 14 miles total so far. I’ll have to update later on as the battery ages, but it charges reasonably quick. The scooter performs smoothly, and quietly, just try to avoid pot holes and large cracks in the street. Also try to avoid any sharp objects that may be on the road. If anybody is wondering how it rides in the rain, well I can say it holds up much better than expected. The wheels keep their traction very well and I didn’t experience any slipping or sliding, but try to avoid if possible. I’d say so far, this scooter has exceeded my expectations for commuting to work. Eventually I’ll take it out for grocery trips when I get good locks. I’ve read that u-locks along with thick chain locks from kryptonite brand is the way to go. The more locks you put on this thing, the better. Get sensor alarms too. Get anything that deters and prevents theft. I’m personally gonna get a few different chains and u-locks, disc locks, etc. You can never be too safe. For only 500 smackers, this has shown to have great bang for your buck as far as commuting in a city goes. My destinations are never too far to worry about battery life. When I ride it to work, I bring it inside my post and top off the charge to prepare it for the next ride. Do not let the battery fully die, you’ll wanna charge it while it’s at least at one bar life left. One accessory I recommend getting is a bicycle turn signal, it feels sketch trying to hand-signal and only having one hand on the handlebars. Oh and the rear basket is a neat addition, although I do want something slightly bigger. Anyways, as far as my impressions currently stand I’d recommend this to anybody in a city. I was exclusively walking and bussing before I got this scooter, so it feels nice not having to get on my feet every day for a simple commute to work or the grocery store.

Comfy Commuter? This Gotrax Flex Ultra Delivers on Speed and Range!
Okay, so I got my hands on this Gotrax FLEX ULTRA through the Vine program, and I've been zipping around on it for a bit now. And let me tell you, the "with Seat" part is an absolute game-changer for anyone who's ever considered an electric scooter but dreaded standing for an entire commute or long joyride. My back officially thanks Gotrax. First off, assembly was surprisingly quick and straightforward. You're not spending hours trying to figure out obscure diagrams. Got it put together and charging pretty fast. Now, let's talk about the ride itself. The **seat** makes all the difference. It's comfortable enough for extended periods, and just being able to sit down takes so much pressure off your legs and back. It transforms the experience from a workout to a genuinely relaxed cruise. I actually look forward to using it for quick errands or just getting some fresh air. The **20 MPH speed** feels plenty zippy. It's fast enough to keep up with most urban bike lanes or even short stretches of road without feeling like you're holding up traffic. I'm not looking to break any land speed records, so for practical everyday use, this is a sweet spot. It accelerates smoothly, which is a nice touch. As for the **25-mile range**, I've found it to be pretty accurate, perhaps a little less if you're consistently on full throttle up hills, but that's expected. For my typical daily jaunts – quick trips to the store, visiting a friend a few miles away, or just exploring the neighborhood – I can easily go a couple of days between charges. It's really freed me up from taking the car for those shorter, annoying drives. The overall build quality feels solid. It's not flimsy, and the brakes are responsive and instill confidence. I also appreciate the front and rear lights, which are essential for riding during dawn or dusk. The "FLEX" in the name suggests some portability, and yes, it folds down reasonably well, making it easier to store or throw in the trunk of a car if needed. Who is this for? If you're looking for a comfortable, reliable, and reasonably fast electric scooter for commuting, running errands, or just enjoying some outdoor mobility without the strain of standing, this Gotrax FLEX ULTRA is a really strong contender. It's definitely changed how I view scooters, and I'd absolutely recommend it.

First Day Riding = First Rate Scooter
I received my scooter yesterday, ON TIME and in PERFECT condition. Unpacking was easy and ASSEMBLY was simple and took only a few moments: lift and lock the stem, screw down the handlebars, insert the seat, adjust and lock, and screw down the basket. Tools were included and I'm quite sure 99% of buyers can do it all themselves. The scooter is LIGHTER than I expected and the clever weight distribution and high floorboard clearance makes it easy to handle. CHARGING is a bit slow ... but they don't claim otherwise. Build QUALITY is top notch - I am so IMPRESSED! Everything is sturdy and secure and there is no wiggle in the stem. Tires are nice enough and arrived inflated and ready to go. Fenders are nice and secure - no rattling or noise. Kickstand is thick and robust and holds it up nicely without worries. The basket is high quality, spacious and handy. The screen is functional and has everything you really need: speedometer, odometer, voltage, gear settings and battery bar. Took it out for a ride today and was super happy! The SUSPENSION systems are excellent! 2 in front, 2 in back, there are springs under the plushy, wide seat and a seat post with suspension as well - WOW! Feels like you are floating over even the worst road conditions! Fantastic. ACCELERATION is gradual and smooth. If you want something to do burnouts on, this is not it - but for me this is perfect. A smooth and silent ride. There is also a unique acceleration guard: If you stop at a red light (for example) the scooter automatically switches to 0 gear after a short wait, so you cannot accidentally 'take off'... you have to tap the brakes to put it in 'drive' again. I think this is a brilliant addition to PEV's which I have not seen before. (And I have owned a bunch of 'em) Way to go GoTrax! SPEED is good and as claimed. TAIL LIGHT/BRAKE LIGHT is large, bright and functional. HEADLIGHT angle is adjustable but the amount of light thrown is minimal and too focused. If there was one thing I would like to see improvement on it would be a better headlight. All in all my first impressions have been very positive. It's better than I expected and that's saying something because I have pretty high standards and expectations. :) I will update again after some more thorough testing~

Excellent
Absolutely the best, just need a better light, a bigger basket and it would be the best on the market period, don't know why there isn't mor of this design being promoted everywhere I ride this EVEERYDAY to and from work over 8km, rain or shine, day and night, and having used a few of their other standing scooters, this is by far the best one I've had. Good speed + acceleration, good weight, front and back lights, key start, the sealed breaks so I don't have to clean the all the time, good sized tires, and SHOCKS yes so, many very great shocks front, back, hell the seat has one too, not having to carry my lunch, groceries and things on my back Had a really nasty crash with a fallen tree branch at 40kph in the dark, and I can 100% say this scooter came out of in 99% better than I did, only a little scuff to the top of the handle screen meanwhile I'm in the hospital for 12+ hours, so well-built is an understatement Maintenance is a breeze, mostly just wiping off road grit and pumping up the tires once a month Alot of people seem to think they should be able to ride any scooter, not just this one up ANY hill like a car, but they can't and this one's no exception, though I've easily made it up hills beyond the standard 15 grade they all scooters suggest on this with very little slow down but you're not going racing up the really big ones that even cars can be heard chunking on to go up, so plan your path accordingly Battery and distance is great, I used to use nearly all of it in one trip on previous scooters, with this beast my battery meter doesn't even drop one bar in a full trip to and from work, which is great since I forget to plug it in often lol, I do wish the plug in for the batter wasn't on the bottom though, while not bad or anything it just isn't as convenient as an older guy like me would like (knees are creaky lol) 100% Would buy again, and again, love it

Fantastic scooter
UPDATE : now that the cold weather is here is Canada and I mean chilly brrrr , you will have to bring the scooter in from the cold in order to keep battery life . It is terrible in the snow BUT is it lol . If you use the lowest setting ( in the cold ) and go slow you will be fine but if you gun it be prepared to wipe out . The battery has lasted me around 4 work day commute but I do bring it in and remember this is extreme cold weather commute (-25 to -30) . If you have to carry it in I recommend you be able to as it is heavy 75lbs . I have no problem female -58 but I am physically capable . I still love this scooter and I highly recommend it . I’ve had this scooter for almost two months , let me just say it is FANTASTIC & FUN ! It is not crazy fast but it is fast enough . I use it for my daily commute to work and home now ( 6kms) and charge it at the end of my 5 day work week . The battery lasts way long in first “gear” and it does reach 15.5miles . Second gear well let’s just say speed wobble at 20 miles . I’ve taken it down to the last battery bar and this scooter did 10 kms which I will test it out longer one day and still had pep and 1 full bar still . The grandkids also love it and have a blast every time they come over (11&15) . Will update when the Canadian cold weather arrives as I do like to play in the snow 🤣🤣🤣
