I recently got this hose, and I must say it's been quite a useful addition to my gardening tools. Here's my take on it:Flexibility and Stretchiness: 4/5This hose is undoubtedly unique in its own way. Although it's listed at 50 feet, it's not 50 feet unless you pull on it stretching it out. The hose itself seems to be able to take the pulling without any problem. But you do have to remember you are also pulling on your connections and your water line, and that extra pulling might damage your pipes.Lightweight and Easy to Handle: 5/5One of the standout features of this hose is its lightweight design. It's a breeze to move around, and even when it's filled with water, it doesn't become a cumbersome burden. Works well, as advertised, but with some drawbacks:Inner diameter limits the amount of water flow I'm accustomed to. NOT major for most usage, but certainly so to adjust with previous norms...mainly noticeable when needing to fill LARGE basins with water (water tanks, swimming pools and hot tub).It is NOT as easy to move from place to place unless carrying the entire hose at once--the strechyness and grip of material makes it significantly more difficult to maneuver through the lawn when moving from locations to another...it works much better when water pressure is added, and can easily be done with the supplied turn off valve installed at exit end of hose.At its price point between $50 and $60, this is a difficult item to recommend with strong confidence, but may be worth it for some. With current coupon offering this below $30 (and curiously the GREEN option being below $25), this is nearly a 5 star product!But since this is only a temporary, nearly-irresistible price/deal, I can only recommend it for the lowered price that may or may not be here while you're reading this review.

This is really a different take on expanding water hoses, most expanding hoses feel super light and also kinda delicate. The rubber material on this hose feels strong and stretchy and more durable. It does expand some, just not asuch as my pocket hose, so you do end up with more hose left to roll up. I love the premium brass fittings, much better than plastic ones and it even has a built it shut off valve. The gray color is pretty neutral and looks nice as well.

This hose is like those little snake fireworks that expand when you light them. It is really cool when you turn on the spigot and the thing just starts growing and growing and growing. I had a few of the woven expandable ones and they all started leaking within a few months. This one has the rubberized exterior and has been holding up well throughout almost daily use the entire summer. So nice to have a hose that will reach any part of the yard but not take up a ton of space AND not be a pain to take out and put away. The spray nozzle is awesome, offering a different spray for any watering situation imaginable. I do caution you to be careful about where it is laying when you turn the water off because as it constricts, it can tighten around things and be difficult to move. Particularly irritating is if this happens to be on your bare skin, where the constricting rips the hairs right off your arm...well, not really, but pulls them uncomfortably. Lol. Great hose. Great buy!

I use this to 'auto feed' a bird bath in the back yard (via a timer).The hose 'stiffens' up when under pressure, so some times when the water kicks in, the hose jumps out of the bird bath (its brass end sits under a heavy rock in the bath tray).Kind of stretchy weird, but for the most part I like it a lot.It's also quite a bit lighter than my other heavy duty hoses, so I plan on using it for washing the power awning this fall, as the water brush with hose gets very heavy when held over head.The valve at the end is just a valve adaptor on the (normally) threaded end, but still kind of a nice touch (and can be reused elsewhere).I suspect this will not tolerate being frozen overwinter, so will definitely drain and bring inside for winter.A handy, lightweight, springy addition to my gardening collection.

I wanted something more durable than the cloth type expandable hose and this looked to be perfect. I run LONG lengths of hose, hundreds of feet, to my burn piles on my property and wanted some lighter lengths of hose, this works really well for it! It's durable enough to put to work. I also wanted something like this hose for my RV. Room isn't an issue for me but weight is always a consideration. Having a length of the cloth type hose and now this hose gives me enough length for any situation!!
