Very high quality equal to stretchers costing $50-$100. My original unit had plastic threaded rod down expansion wooden block - broke. This is same design, but substitutes all metal threaded expansion drive. Make sure you choose the correct size for your shoe size!

These seem to be well made, however their sizing chart is entirely wrong. The chart says that a size "L" would be correct for my 10.5-D shoe size. The size "L" when fully expanded wouldn't even touch the sides of my 10.5 shoe. The sizing chart must be based on smaller Chinese people. I am not even sure if a size "XL" will work, but I will probably give it a try. When ordering these, get at least one size larger than what their chart indicates.

This thing is built to last! All metal and wood! I’m stretching size 13 shoes and need the strength to do the job.

Product arrived in a damaged box, no instructions. Jammed when I extended the length - never was able to shorten it properly even to return it. Assuming if it was going to work it was clear that it was so big in the instep area that it would never lengthen my shoes since all the pressure was from the instep to my heal - nothing pushing on the toe area. The main take away, besides the poor quality and performance, was that stretching shoes requires proper equipment since shoe shapes and sizes are so different. Tried to avoid the shoe repair man and do it myself - that was my mistake.

I bought the shoe stretcher to stretch out a pair of Jordan 1. I wear a size 7 -7 1/2 women’s shoe. Typically with Nike I wear a 7 1/2 they only had a size 7 in the color and style I wanted. I used the shoe stretcher and one bunion insert piece on the right shoe shown in the picture. I let it sit all day while I was at work and when I came home today, my shoe fit perfectly.I wanted to mention a couple things I encountered when using product. When I was testing out the stretcher, I loosened it too far and I almost broke the device. I was able to get it, rethreaded without taking it apart and is now working just fine. Make sure when you turn it counterclockwise that you stop once the stretcher goes back together. I overturned the device when it was in my shoe and could not see. This morning when I used it, I made sure to count how many times I turned clockwise to keep track. Hope this review is helpful!

As a person with wide feet, this works great. Used it to stretch the metatarsus section of a pair of motorcycles shoes that had considerable protective material on top of regular leather. Cranked it up to 11 and left it for a few days. Came back to a noticeable difference. Much more comfortable though still not perfect. Should have just bought a size bigger. Stretcher works as described. Good stuff.

Only (petty) complaint I have, but not choosing any stars is, the metal bumps that come with it have no easy way of storing when not in use... They don't stick in the hole firmly, which doesn't matter when your using it, but does mean you'll want a zip loc bag to not lose them when you store this. Like I said, petty, but true.
