Perfect plain tee for work! I'm a server/bartender and these are my favorite shirts for work. They fit well, keep their color and shape, and they're nice and long!

Black shirts are an essential item in most people's closet. These American Apparel V-necks are a classic style and fit more slim than loose. I am 5'5, 130 lbs., pear-shaped, and I ordered a size small. They were a little big on me but they fit my male friend who is 5'7 and 135 lbs. perfectly. The 60% cotton and 40% polyester material blend allows flexibility and softness while still keeping the breathability of cotton. I appreciate that that the brand uses sustainable and recycled materials as well. To preserve the color and shape of the shirts, I recommend washing on cold and drying on low heat or air drying. These affordable, quality shirts look great and will last a long time.

I wear a small in most men's shirts and these shirts are no exception. They fit true to size and are quite comfortable. They are a lighter thinner material than some of my plain t-shirts but that's not a bad thing. The v neck is a normal depth and not too deep. The one thing that irks me about these t-shirts is the tag. The tag is weirdly long and it's right on the back of the neck. It rubs and rubs every time you move. I ended up cutting it off, but you can't really get right of it fully without cutting the stitching. I wish they had put the tag on the side or just printed the care instructions on the shirt itself. Overall they are nice t-shirts, but they are held back a bit by the tag.
