Super handy!
I love how compact these leashes are! I wouldn't mind another foot or so of length, but it's a great compromise for its size, and my dogs are already trained to heel. Very well crafted with high quality materials. I also love supporting small family business. All around win!

The PERFECT product for heel and off-leash training!
I NEVER write reviews, but this is a quality product I know I'll be using for the indefinite future and I couldn't have dreamed up a better product for exactly what I needed. Maybe not ideal for every dog, but I'm in the process of off-leash training mine with an E-collar, so having this as an easy contingency plan is wonderful. I never have to worry about packing a bulky emergency leash again. I can also attest to the sturdiness and comfort of the handle. I take my dog on a lot of hikes and I hate how heavy and sweaty the clunky retractable leash handles are. They aren't kidding when they say it's the size of an Oreo, but it's the perfect size for complete control and comfort while hiking on a hot day. I barely even noticed I was holding it. The rubberized coating and little nubs help with grip as well. AND if you think 3 feet is too short, think again. It's the PERFECT length if you're training your dog to heel. It gives just enough freedom so that there's nice slack in the leash, but if they leave the heel position you are immediately alerted and can give a correction. 10/10 I am obsessed with this product and will never buy another leash again. Seriously from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU LazyLeash!* I also received a free extra leash with my order which was a really nice touch and I'm very happy to have a backup, although at this rate, I'm so impressed with the product, I'll probably gift it to the next dog-owner I meet who could use it and help spread the word.

Easy to lose
I think in theory, these will work great as a quick leash when needed. I just ordered and got 2 yesterday. Both my dogs wore them out hiking today, only one came home with it still attached to his collar so I felt like it was kind of a waste of money. The clip is very easily unhooked from the collar if you have a dog who runs in the woods, wrestles, etc.

This leash is incredible!
I can't say enough good things about the Lazy Leash! As a dog owner with an off-leash trained furry friend, this retractable leash has been a game-changer. It's incredibly convenient when I need to quickly grab my dog in public places, restaurants, or when unexpected encounters with other dogs happen. The small and lightweight design is perfect; it doesn't weigh me down or take up much space in my bag. The retractable feature is smooth and reliable, giving my dog just the right amount of freedom while keeping them safe. It's become an indispensable part of our outings, and I love the peace of mind it provides. If you have an off-leash trained dog, the Lazy Leash is a must-have!

Cool concept but not there yet
The concept is great but it’s too bulk for little dogs and too weak for a large dog. The push to pull out and pull back in is also a little annoying with how tricky it is to operate. Another year of refinement and this will probably be amazing but it’s not there today

Easy to use
Ordered my Lazy Leash on Monday and got it the next day. Came in a nicely designed package with instructions for best use and lighthearted directions on how to "Become a Lazy Leash Ninja." Leash fits perfectly in the palm of my hand, works great, and clips easily to my dog's (Holli) collar. Bought it as a backup leash to keep in my car when I don't feel like messing with Holli's regular leash, but I've started leaving it on her collar and using it whenever she needs a quick trip out. Very satisfied with everything about the Lazy Leash.

Don’t waste your money!
Waste of money. Clip does not hold. Opens with the slightest tug. Inner wheel that keeps from pulling also broke after 2 days of use. No wonder why they send a 2nd one as a gift. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

It's good if you're careful with it
I just keep the Lazy Leash on my dog's harness while on off-leash hikes so I can use it while passing other people/dogs. Since he's under good voice control I can ask him to stop while I extend or retract it - doesn't work the best if you try to do that while the dog is moving, which they state, to be fair. It does also get stuck pretty often; you have to make sure the tape isn't twisted up when retracting it. But as they suggest, I just press hard on the button to unstick it, sometimes it can be pretty hard to unstick though. Probably not the best tool if you struggle with your hands at all (arthritis, carpal tunnel, etc). I got the green one with the mushroom print, after only a few weeks the mushroom print has already started to wear off, which sucks but whatever. Otherwise it's been a great surprisingly sturdy little tool for the price, not sure how it would hold up long-term on a dog who pulls hard though. It's only 3ft long so may be harder to use with small dogs, but it's lightweight so even my mom's pug can wear it without issue. Overall I'm happy with it just to use while passing folks on the trails.

Quality
For a small device I’m impressed with the overall quality. It’s light weight and I feel comfortable leaving it clipped to my dogs collar as it’s durable enough (the clip is heavy duty too)Wonderful for trail hiking (if you’re one that typically allows off leash) to have a handy leash upon recall.

Fantastic reserve lead
You can put this anywhere as a spare lead. Where have these been all of my life?!

Updated review. Not meant for larger dogs.
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE:After using the leash for a bit. Some annoying things have happened.-The leash is always jammed and often in the most inconvenient moments and the only way unjam the leash is to press it against something hard, which is not always available.-Sometimes the leash will release itself and then it’ll just be dangling and dragging around on the dogs collar.- the title claims, “strong enough to pull a truck”, but the product was clearly not tested on an excited dog eager to sniff a bush or say hi to another dog. Even with it autolocking, if the dog jerks and pulls at the leash it will unlock against the pressure.- the freebie yellow leash got permanently jammed and has proven to be completely useless. I threw it out. This leash should not be used for medium/large dogs or left on the collar/harness. The idea is clever and I wish it worked, but the product needs to be reevaluated as it’s faulty and not worth the price. At this point, I’m just going to get a goat leash and return this product.I’ll beORIGINAL REVIEW:The product came well packaged and the instructions are clear to read. The clasps seem a bit cheap so that’s my worry, but I don’t need it for a strong puller.I got this for my dog that jumps fences and likes to take little jaunts around the neighbourhood. My plan is to use it for the walk of shame back home when I catch him.I ordered the rainbow one and was pleasantly surprised when I found an extra yellow one in the package. The weird thing is that only one came in a box.The yellow one did jam up, but I unjammed it with some pressure like the instructions say.

Doesn’t work
The leash does not pull out. When you press the button the leash will not come out. Too bad because it’s a good idea.
