GSeat Elite Orthopedic Gel and Foam Seat Cushion for Coccyx, Back, Tailbone, Prostate, Postnatal, and Sciatica - Black

UPDATE 9/15/2016: They priority shipped me a replacement and it's in great shape. The first one must have been a defect. The only complaint of Gseat products compared to other certified seat cushions is that the hole for your coxxyx is actually too far forward (in the middle of the seat) instead of the back, where your coxxyc is actually located when you're sitting with good posture. The back of the seat in the middle is very high and actually puts a lot of pressure on the tailbone unless you do not sit up straight, so that you're kind of leaning back a little so the tailbone actually resides over the hole in the seat. This seat is better suited for prostate issues due to the location of the dimpled center area. All other seat brands have the cut out in the very back of the seat which would be a great upgrade for their next version. Nonetheless the seat is very comfortable, i highly suggest the smaller seat over the larger one, and makes riding in a car or at work/home much more comfortable if you are like someone with me who has sciatica, coccydynia, coxxyx pain, lumbar issues, or have an uncomfortable car seat in which you can never get really comfortable and always fidget with the adjustments. This specific unit arrived deformed. The right "butt cheek" area felt 1/8" inch whereas the other side felt a bit over 1". I knew there was a defect with this specific one. It needed to be opened to see if it was something i could fix or something that required to be replaced, as I am a DIY kind of person and do not generally post reviews unless positive. I opened it up with a scalpel and found that indeed there is some kind of manufacturing defect where it appears the foam melted upon molding or was compressed upon molding causing the right side to have a 2" wide hole, about 6" long, with only about 1/8" of cushion. The QA process needs work as i could tell just by pressing on it. I am sending it back as a defect and hoping for rush shipment as I have grad school classes starting next week and cannot sit without this seat. There is no other seat out there that is as good as these. Mine was a defect. I fully intend on the company replying and rush shipping a new unit before they receive this one although the RMA is already printed and it's sitting at the shipping company. I will change my rating depending upon the level of service and care regarding this issue. I highly recommend these products for those with horrible scoliosis, pars defects, deteriorated facet joints, and lower sacrum/coccyx issues like i have--or any of those. This specific unit is just unacceptable. Check out the pictures. A company should care about their brand and hopefully they will perform better post-manufacturing testing procedures in the future so other customers that are excited as myself are not disappointed!! If you get one that's in perfect condition, however, it's the number one product in the world in my opinion.

Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for. I've tried just about every cushion, seat, etc over the last 10 years. Nothing comes close to the relief and comfort except this brand/company. I suffer from multiple conditions spinal stenosis, lumbar Spondylisthesis and recurring painful hemorrhoids. I've owned their Lite and the Ultra versions from these folks for 10 years. The Ultra for me being too firm and too big, and their Lite being pretty decent but too small for me as I had a hard time finding that sweet middle area to miss hitting your hemorrhoid area and tailbone area that hurts so much. This new Elite version of this seat I'm in love with! It checks all the boxes for me! I love it so much I just bought a second one! Thank you G seat for truly helping us sufferers of these spinal conditions and other areas of pain! Forever a G Seat user! Forever grateful!

I am ordering another one and hoping it will not leak too! However, even if I have to use bicycle tube patches I will keep using it for the relief and pain avoidance it provides. I was in agony with long business trips and this has made the travel bearable. Update: since the above review I have purchased 3 more of these (2 were gifted and well used and highly appreciated) The leak issue has never happened again.

Where it works well: In my opinion, this cushion has a narrow use case and if that matches your use case, it works ok. I believe this is intended for a portable scenario where the cushion is going directly on a hard surface, like bleachers at a sports venue. Its goal is to be more comfortable than a hard surface -- e.g. trying to keep your sitting bones off the hard surface (thus it being a bit stiff). Where it does not work as well: It doesn't work as well on a surface that already has some cushion because it is quite firm itself. I don't think this version was designed to be used this way. Also, if you have room to slouch, or lean, or move a bit, then the size is a bit small (portable version). But again, I believe portability is its purpose so that isn't bad unless you want portability. I believe they make a larger version. Pros: - seems well made - it does keep my legs from falling asleep, avoid pinching nerves - good for bleachers, hard surfaces like benches, metal chairs Cons: - it can still feel uncomfortable on a hard surface but it is an improvement over nothing - the holes reduce the cushioning effectiveness. They should be removed. - the white lettering isn't great in a formal setting, like church. I'll probably take a permanent marker to it. It's "ok" but not as cool as I'd hoped given this price point. It should be $20 cheaper.

Wow! I would say "magic" but that seems melodramatic. I have pudendal neuralgia, lumbosacral nerve root injury and vulvadynia - the perfect storm to keep one on one's feet. I, like others, have tried rings, gel cushions, foam cushions, "egg crates", etc., all to no avail. My specialist even gave me a pattern to make my own cushion with which a lot of his patients had found relief. The price tag on this one scared me off for awhile but I finally succumbed due to a recent vulvar surgery and I am so glad I did. I got the larger one for my car and the smaller, portable one for home. They are unlike any other cushion I've tried and provided instant relief. The specialist said he wanted the soft tissues to "float" in whatever cushion I chose and that is exactly what happens with these cushions. My only regret is that I didn't spring for 2 of the larger ones instead of 1 of each because the larger cushion is a bit thicker and allows more "float" space for the soft tissues. Both have handles for easy transport and are less obvious than the bright white foam ring I've been carrying around with me for the last year. It is certainly worth trying; I've never had a problem returning anything to Amazon before so take a chance. If it provides even half of the pain relief I've found, you're fortunate.

I have used this on (2) long distance airplace trips. It's less than 2 months old. The handle has already broken, so now I have no way of carrying it on the plane as it's too large to fit in my carry-on. When I contacted the manufacturer, they would not replace the item as they said "it's still functional", even though I can no longer carry it with me to use.

I purchased this seat cushion for travel. I liked the fact it was foldable and could easily fit into a backpack. Even though the price was high, I didn't mind paying extra for these two reasons. However, the cushion did not alleviate any of my back issues. The seat was hard and uncomfortable and was not sized to fit on airline seats comfortably. It was too short and there was no way to position the cushion to sit comfortably. I was not able to use the cushion for the entire flight. In addition, the cushion gave off a noticeable chemical type of order that did not dissipate. So it's GOING BACK. I don't like writing this type of review but this cushion was too expensive to ignore posting my comments.

Existen tres modelos y las características son las mismas, con lo cual me decidí por el modelo intermedio, en cuanto a precio, ya que no sabía las ventajas del modelo superior o inferior. El producto es bueno en general, el único inconveniente que he comprobado es que el asa se despega o se rompe, deberían haber cosido el material en vez de pegarlo ya que simplemente con el calor se despega. En cuanto a que modelo elegir, yo creo que va en función de tu peso, aunque ni lo menciona la marca. Si pesas mas de 80 kg elije el modelo superior, con total seguridad.

I had an injury and sitting for long periods of time was a nightmare for me. I take it with me in long flights and to sit on the grass with my cats. It really offers support for the lower back.

I use it to sit on my bench and I can tell you that it make a difference since that all the foam from the bench is now all compacted and this help me to sit on my bench with out noticing anything.

Well, it didn't work for me. Its very well made, and obviously a quality product. However, it's not soft enough which is what I need and what I was hoping for.
