good for price
Tried the Yeswelder, it was not fun. after returning tried this Sunstac which is very similar but much better in quality, price, and user experience. Side Door is a bit small but not a deal breaker because it DOES fit a 10 lb spool which i was worried about. Metal Drive Roller unit is great for this price point. Screen is easy to see, read, and navigate, even in the sun. Torch/whip/gun handle quality is great. lugs are robust and solid copper. Fan is intermittent which is nice so the machine is only humming when it needs too. When you turn it on it take a few seconds to light up but don't worry this appears to be normal for the Sunstac products (I have them all, mig , acdc tig, plasma. separate machines). I did drop this machine and it was okay. So Build Quality is Reliable for work conditions, still try not to drop it i may have gotten lucky. have not tried stick, so cannot vouch for 6010 but the leads are basic but good.. I have a Lincoln Engine Drive for this.. hoping i get some info or a response regarding the plasma cut tips and consumables which i mentioned in another review. wish to do business with you . thank you

European connector spool gun only
I bought this to use as an aluminum welder. Wish I knew beforehand that it only works with European connector spool guns. This means I have to spend another $200 for an European connector gun. Update: I have updated my review to 4 stars. I purchased a spool gun with European connector and could not get this thing to weld aluminum. There are no settings on the machine or in the manual for spool gun/aluminum. I was about to give up when I saw that the machine also comes with a Teflon liner for the mig gun. I was able to weld aluminum using the mig and a different tip. As a mig steel and aluminum welder the machine works fine. There is no telling how long it will last. Quality seems a little better than most cheap foreign made welders. The settings features are basic bare bones.

Ok welder
If you're looking for a welding machine for your home shop this will work for you. If you want to weld aluminum buy a spool gun that fits it. There are inexpensive spool guns and this machine runs them nicely. The metal wire mig gun works ok. Arc stick welding is a little challenging but runs 7018 ok as long as you use AC/DC rod.

Don’t Waste Your Money – Extremely Poor Build Quality
I purchased this welder in June 2025, and unfortunately my experience has not been good. When I first received it and connected it to 220V, it immediately tripped my home circuit breaker. After opening the unit, I discovered that the AC voltage sensing cable was disconnected from the factory, which shows a serious lack of quality control. I corrected the issue myself and the machine started working. The total usage time has been very low. However, on the second day of more continuous use, while welding under normal conditions, there was a loud internal explosion and the electrical protection tripped again. After inspecting the unit, I found that one of the main DC bus capacitors had completely failed. A new machine should not experience this type of major failure with so few working hours. Regarding customer support, the response was slow and not very helpful when the initial issue occurred. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product if you are looking for reliability and durability.

Worth it
I’ll cut straight to it, i am impressed. Starting it all up was a head scratcher but once you figure out how to use the controls it gets easier to control. In about 15 minutes I had it figured out. Has a good arc, I say it’s better than the miller 252’s. Sounds a lot like a miller but also like a Lincoln (MIG 220 & argon). Stick seems to arc at the right time (clean metal matters a lot). I haven’t used the spool gun, flux or TIG yet but I plan on it. I’ve got several different welding backgrounds so the way I was using it, it can handle more than your “small projects” if you really wanna put it to work. Picture above is at 17.5V (as the display shows) for example before you buy. I was hesitant about it, trust me but I’ll be looking forward to a plasma cutter now.

Excellent welder.
I am an amateur. My only training as a welder consists of YouTube videos and the "Pcket Welder" app. Unexpectedly, with this welder, I managed to lay nice, professionally looking beads! Showed results to a professional. He said that they look like they were made by someone with few years of experience. All credit goes to the machne!

Exceptional
I am very impressed with the capabilities of this welder. It's hard to find the abundance of features it offers at this price. Quality is top notch
