Triumph Motorcycles in America

I expected this to be just a revised and updated version of the authors' previous work of the same title but it was quite different, the biggest change being the lots of colour pictures instead of only black and white in the old edition. This brings the Triumph story bang up to date but I must admit the chapters covering the Hinckley bikes were not as interesting as the Meriden stuff, there just seemed to be less in the way of stories and anecdotes for the new bikes. There are a couple of typos, it has the electric start Trident T160 being announced in '72 instead of the correct '75, and having the colour picture of said bike back to front (with Triumph & Trident logos mirrored) was unforgiveable! Having said that its a must buy for anyone interested in Triumphs.
